When we had to replace our fuel pump it was about $400.  Does it make the sound like its' trying to start but the engine won't catch?  Like in cartoons? The sterotypical "Hey my car won't start" sound?

Do we have a designated thread for "interesting news stories"?

Today's theme is Art and Crime:

Stolen Edvard Munch paintings found:

Did you ever watch her in that old Nickelodeon show "Clarissa Explains It All" ? I will always think of her that way. Ah, nostalgia.  :)

Yep, and it was because of that show I became a huge fan of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

Ahaha, I love the Scarlet Pimpernel! The one with Jane Seymor in it, right? Because that's the only one worth watching in my book.

And Adrien is ok, but I really just love the movie because Melissa Joan Hart has just kind of always been my own personal Mary Sue.

I need to get around to seeing Just Like Heaven. My two stand-by chick flicks are "Drive Me Crazy" and "10 Things I Hate About You"

Both excellent movies.

$35 to renew a car registration every year in Ohio.  When I compare that to Utah I want to weep for joy, plus no annual safety check and e-check to pay for (not in our county anyway).

I agree with that review of Rhapsody.  I'm always annoyed when Amazon recommends it to me.

Rants and Stuff / Re: How the heck do you buy a new car?
« on: August 24, 2006, 12:25:28 AM »
I'm reviving this thread because it's mine to begin with and because we're looking again at getting a car.

What with the drastic change in income since February when I started this, it's definitely going to be a used car! My little Grand Prix is feels like it's going to bite the dust any day now and our mechanic said it probably wasn't worth putting any more money into it.  It still runs, so I'm hoping if we get a different car, we can get at least a little money for it, but it's been stalling out at stoplights when I drive it the 7 miles to work.

We'd thought we had one picked out, but we ran it by the same mechanic and he let us know it was a bad move. So , back to the drawing board.  I have until Sept. 18 to get another car, since that's when my classes start. With my going to school in the next town over and working full time, and J.T. working two jobs, one car just ain't gonna cut it...

Wish me luck.

I got one that was disturbing yesterday not that the title itself was out of the ordinary, (It was something you'd expect like, "I'm a lonely girl, come see how horny I am!"  or something along those lines, but the really disturbing part is that it was sent by Frank Herbert.

I liked Constantine because it finally gave me a movie to complete my Unofficial "Sacrilege with Wings" movie trilogy; the other two being Dogma and Michael.
