I can't drink the tequila with the worm in the bottom of the bottle, or anything with something floating in it. I totally agree with the "gives me the willies" comment. It is horrible, although I do hear it is some of the most potent stuff you can drink.

Unfortunately, at times I am a very slow poster. Sporadic, and not at all prolific, like I used to be. I am avoiding Brandon's section, due to not getting HoA until probably Christmas or later. And I am horrible about peeking in spoiler threads. I just can't help myself. I do like to look at the art thread and catch up on any new Warbreaker conversations, but they seem to be kind of slow. Almost everything in there is a spoiler thread now, and rightfully so, but it makes it hard for me to resist.

So, now I am hanging out here, in the music and books section, and trying not to spoil Heroes for my husband, who hasn't watched the last episode that we have on our DVR just yet. ;)

Music / Re: Favorite Rock Album (Poll)

I agree with that statement, but I guess I have always put my "favorite" music in the older range. It is what I go back to time and time again, no matter what mood or state of mind I am in at the time. I seem to find the other stuff I listen to very mood driven. I don't think that qualifies it as a "favorite", although at times it is the music of choice. I guess that comes from having a fairly long time spanning love of music. :)

Go, and enjoy class. :) Some of my most fond memories are of school, both college and high school. Middle school was awful, but I got over it. I was an awkward pre-teen and had a family life that was far from private, through no fault of my own. It made for interesting fodder for the other kids in school.

I am also rather interested in what comes after Forester. I am pleased to be in nature, so I am hoping I stay here. :)

I should go see where else there is to post while I work on this level thing. ;)

Books / Re: What books did you grow up on?
« on: December 05, 2008, 05:58:19 PM »
I think when I was a  younger kid I read all of the Little House on the Prairie books, I used to own them as well, and I read pretty much every Black Stallion book I could get my hands on at that age. I think I may have read them all at some point in my youth. I loved books about horses, and The Secret Garden and The Little Princess, when I was about eight I think. I started fantasy youngish....and scifi as well, although that didn't intrigue me quite as much. I read The Hobbit when I was at my dad's house for the weekend and looking for something to read, I must have been 12 or 13. But, I also read Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles about that time. I don't remember much about it though. I haven't re-read it since then, I think it would make much more sense now. I may have to look into that. :)

My aunt loved that show, but I think it was largely due to the fact that she had a huge crush on Richard Dean Anderson. ;)

I remember the glasses bit now, and someone having horrible luck with injuries......that was you wasn't it Wilson? Poor thing.

And I should level today, but that doesn't mean that the forest will no longer be available for your use. :) We love the forest, and it has given us many things. Hiding places, and hermit places, and snowboarding places.....and cover from the nasties who are hunting us. (I'm pretty sure that isn't a word, but I was given permission to make stuff up, so I'm going with that.) ;)

Ugh....sleep can be hard on you when you miss eight pages of stuff in one night. Sheesh...and the snakes in the alcohol? Does it get any better than that?

I'm happy to see the promotions coming along nicely. Perhaps I will get one today. I mean, anything is possible in here. We are a very post happy bunch, and it seems no topic is too silly. ;) I live for silly, so it is a good thing I suppose. But, I forget how we got from nekkid snow boarding to Habusake and karaoke. Don't tell me, I'm just saying, I read it and have forgotten already. All I can think of is that it must have been a smooth transition. :D

And Monsta, pretty girls and friends are as good a reason as any to miss what is happening here. I shall be available for the help in advancing your level today as well. I think between Wilson and I we should be able to get you there. :)

Not the monkeys Ehlers, not the monkeys!

For me, I would have to choose Other, and write in Dark Side of the Moon. I prefer it to The Wall, although, The Wall is a masterpiece in it's own right in my opinion.

Monsta, I'm slightly afraid to ask how you would know how it is like hitting a big, hard porcupine, but I have to know. So, how do you know?

Ben, it wouldn't be missed, I'm sure someone here has a camera. ;)

I wouldn't miss that for the world. :D *watches with bated breath for the show that may, or may not include tree bashing*

Well, he is an assistant mortician, he could just have been very sleepy from the long hours. And it is possible he couldn't see the rest of the forest for the trees. ;) *I've always wanted to use that somewhere*

Ask Ben, though he doesn't seem to have gotten the hang of it yet either. ;) It will be alright, we have some not as heavily wooded sections for such things. Just over yonder. *points off in the distance to a slightly wooded hilly section, as opposed to the heavily wooded hilly section  Ben was trying to snowboard down*

Well, forest doesn't mean it has to be flat......it does have some nice hills. Maybe not mountain high, but definitely worthy of trying out in the snow. ;)
