When you click on that link they also have a panel of stars at Comicon '06 and that states outright that Topher Grace from That 70's Show is Venom in the movie. So Venom will be making an appearance, and from the way Sam Raimi sounded about it, a rather good sized appearance.

Here is the link to the panel shot.... I think....

Very true about the Haitian. I don't think that Claire's father knows he can speak either. And as for that, do we know who Claire's real parents are? Do we have any suspicions?

This isn't a trailer, but it is a link to quite a bit of the behind the scenes stuff, and a few little snippets from the actors. Just push the play button on the YouTube box, or you can download the interviews seperately if you want to.

My understanding of this situation is that it has to do with him suing the company for money he thinks he is owed from the LOTR series.

I whole heartedly agree with that assessment. I have two little kids so I see quite a bit of the Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and of cours the Disney Channel, but this new Scooby is by far the most annoying thing, because my kids love Scooby and I have had to sit through an episode of that junk. They didn't even really like it, and my three year, three mind you, said "Mommy that isn't Scooby Doo." He is smart enough to know the difference at three, what were they expecting??

Please don't have a stroke, I know that sounded bad, but that so was NOT the way that I meant it.  :-[ I have liked Rush since I was a kid, and was thrilled to get to go to a concert of theirs. All I meant was that in this day of having four or more people per band, I thought that with only the three of them they rocked. Sorry.

Right this minute: Fleetwood Mac    Silver Springs

I have it because quite simply I like them. I prefer the songs that Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham write, but there are some that I like that Christine McVie wrote.

The song makes me remember a friend who was murdered in Texas about seven years ago, and even though the memories are good ones now, it still makes me cry sometimes.

Luckily they didn't lose their only songwriter, and break ups are good for bands, in some cases. Look at Fleetwood Mac, No Doubt, and I am sure there are others that I am forgetting....

Anyway, I really liked the first album, but I think that I might like the second one a little bit better. I think that there was more feeling, something that was mentioned to have been lacking a bit in the first album. Amy has an amazing voice, I think.

Well, I don't think that I have been to a concert since 1990, isn't that sad, but I went to see Rush that year and I thought that for three guys they totally rocked.

Oh, wait..... I did go to a Lilith Fair about six years ago, with Natalie Merchant, Indigo Girls, India Arie and many others, and that was even better than the Rush concert, especially since it was outside under the stars on a warm summer night.

Thanks for the information Spriggan. I wasn't sure what kind of control any author has with regards to art work. I don't really know any authors, met a couple, don't really know them. Anyway, you know what I mean..... ???

And as for asking for Brandon's opinion, I wasn't really expecting a negative answer, I think I was actually hoping that he would be able to point to some positives in the work. I don't think I would ever have expected negativity from him, he seems to be a really nice person and wanting to see the best in things, even if everyone else is kind of critical.

I understand about either loving or hating someone's work, no matter what art form it is. I also totally agree about the cover selling the book much of the time, especially for a new author. I am far more critical and choosy about new authors than I am about my established favorites. Granted, I now count Brandon in that group, but before I read Elantris I decided to based on the look of the cover.

The point of teaching him to not attempt to speak would be if only a portion of his tongue was cut out, thereby leaving him able to eat and taste food, but not to be able to speak clearly. So, if  he did attempt to speak as a child, since you can learn how with a partial tongue it just wouldn't be clear, they would have had to teach him to not do it again.

But that is making a few assumptions about how they cut out his tongue. Such as assuming that they only cut out a portion of it and not the entire thing. I would think that it would  have to be done that way in order to allow him to be able to eat, but I am not sure about that, I don't know anyone who has had their tongue, or even part of their tongue, removed for any reason. I have heard of people who have had medical problems with tongues, or tongue cancer, but I don't know anyone like that so I don't really know how it works.

Good point Dragonfly. And he probably was taught very young not to attempt speech, either the hard way, or he just did as he was told because he was an obedient child. One way or the other, and it seems to have worked....

That image is hysterical! Thank you so much for the laugh. I was in need of that tonight.

Seriously though, Brandon, do you know anything about this artwork situation, and do you have any control over it yourself? And honestly, what do you think of it? I personally loved the first one, but this is just making me crazy with how, I don't know, like I posted before, it feels like the artist used the wrong hand to draw it.....
