Video Games / Re: The Sims
« on: December 31, 2006, 05:34:15 PM »
There are now new Sims 2 games out - Petz nad Open 4 Business. I think open for business is much better, as it opens up a whole new world of gameplay. Now not only a life simulator, the Sims 2 is a business tycoon-style game.

Any opinions?

P.S: Sorry to revive a dead thread, but it saves starting a new one with people repeating themselves!

Movies and TV / Re: Déjà Vu

I liked this movie..and I didn't expect to at all. I thought it would be a mindless action movie with a psycho as the main character, but the storyline was well though out, and all the way through it keeps you guessing. I watched it with my friend, and a contest developed - who would figure out parts of the storyline quickest. We kept gasping and guessing and contesting each other the whole way through!

Everything Else / Richard Hammond in 280mph Car Crash
« on: September 21, 2006, 04:35:29 PM »
One of the UK's favourite TV personalities was seriously injured, reportedly trying to break the land speed record.

http://edition.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/europe/09/21/hammond.profile.reut/

Richard was famous for his work on Top Gear and Brainiac: Science Abuse.

Does anyone else think this is reminiscent of Steve Irwin's accident, ie; seriously injured doing the job that he loves, whilst being filmed. Let's hope (touch wood) that it doesn't end the same way (no I am not implying there was a stingray in the car before anyone jokes about this).

Books / Re: Harry Potter Tease -- Will he die?

I think that he'll die right at the end of the seventh book.
But in doing so saves the world from voldemort or something similar.
It's so steriotypical, why can't they make a book where the main character dies half way through and his best friends get eaten by a large chicken, that would make a great book.

PS. When Potter does die, they should make a spin-off called Ginger Weasley, where Ron is the main character

But Ron would be dead; "...his best friends get eaten by a large chicken...".
Although a spin-off starring someone dead would certainly be original. And boring.

Oooh, someone really is a grumpy bear today!

Seriously, I'm British, and I agree that the law is passed on verbally more than in writing. And besides, everyone's got a solicitor to interpret the..ya know...stuff.

Bye, everyone, and don't go puttin any ice cream in your pockets!

P.S: Be kind to mooses, they're not good flyers.

Why does he have to be so dang nice/indifferent to people? There are so many reasons to hate him, but I...er...can't...be bothered to list them.

You get an unlimited number of wishes (like you already have!), but they are also corrupted.

I wish that my new Sims 2 Open For Business pc game would work.

You do, but you also suddenly turn into a duck. Now your gift will never be noticed. *Sighs

I wish I had a lifetime supply of delicious food which never goes bad, and I never get sick of.

You get a dragoon,  bad miniture knock-off of the dragon. It breaths cigarette smoke and looks like a poorly fish. Aw.

I wish I had a beautiful, clever, funny  girlfriend who never cheated on me.

And I bet an empty drinks can and a rusty nail.

Good joke. But then, I didn't read it til I knew it was a practical joke. Not that it would have scared me. The worst thing fo me would be Spriggan's proof-reading.

You get too nice and everyone you meet either falls in love with you or gets incredibly annoyed with you.

I wish I was famous.

I don't know where else to put this, but this holiday name thing is out of control.  I'm boycotting.

I don't mind it when you can tell who they used to be. Although, I can never decide whether to call them by their original name or their new one.

I defy you to find a post when I am so blunt and ridiculous as to call someone stupid directly. I am a good member; just ask...people....

No, really, I'm not that bad! Heck, SE wants me to marry his daughters! (To understand this joke, a SE or search the forum)
And don't get me started on the compliments thread. (I know that's what they're there for, but MsFish thinks I'm a decent member, at least.

Anyway, I sound quite pathetic now, so if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go polish myself.

(Thus concludes my argument that I am a brown kettle)

Raknor, I really do not think your one to preach, given your - ahem- your brother's previous record. I know you- he, likes abuse, so maybe I'll start giving you what you want.
