Where else would Taln be? out looking for the rest of the heralds? he needs to deal with a desolation, so naturally he would be around the king and the minister of war, the two people Kaladin needs to protect
In prison, for heresy?

Who's gonna believe that a darkeyed guy who came out of nowhere is a Herald?

I don't think it meant becoming a light eye literally but more social status wise.
That's not the impression I got. According to Kaladin (in one of the flashbacks to when he was growing up):
Quote from: Way of Kings, page 252
If a man wins a Shardblade on the battlefield, his eyes become light.

And the context of that quote makes it fairly clear that's something very different than simply gaining the social status of a lighteyes by marrying one.

I have no idea why Szeth's eyes aren't always light, though. Maybe he didn't win his Shardblade in battle? It's possible that makes a difference.

I could point out that the Terris prophecies were gender-neutral because Sazed was not a man, but I'll restrain myself. ;)
Yeah, but there's absolutely no reason that Sazed would become female or refer to himself as a woman. He used to be male, and ended up as a eunuch. Maybe taking the shards would make him male again, but there's absolutely zero reason to think they'd switch his gender. I could see how you could maybe kinda sorta suspect that might maybe happen if Preservation and/or Ruin had been female, but that's just not the case.

I think the fourth shard is based on Brandon's Law of Pairing.

Basically, when we look at mistborn everything can be broken down to pairs. Two metals that are similar but do opposite things (pewter and tin both affect the body, but one is internal, the other external). There are two shards that both are related yet are opposites, like two sides of a coin to use the old cliche.

Anyway, fans have applied this law to the Stormlight Archive. I don't know if I agree with it, but there is definitely space for a 4th shard in this series.
I don't really think there's any indication that applies to Roshar. On Scadrial, there were all those opposites because you had two shard that were exact opposites. Unless the Almighty's shard is love, that's not really the case on Roshar. Plus, Cultivation would still be mucking things up just by being there.

I agree obtaining more than 1 shard will have the shards form together, but not necessarily that Sazed is Cultivation.
Again, Sazed can't be Cultivation, because Cultivation is female.

I never said Sazed was Cultivation, I just don't like to downright knock someone's theory off the bored.
I know you didn't say it, I'm just making it clear that this theory, at least, deserves to be dismissed outright.

if there is one surgebinder in Shin, there are bound to be more. also i dont think that Truthless is a position that any normal citizen in Shin can get, i think that Szeths dad is someone very important, and that is why he refuses to go by his fathers name
He doesn't go by his father's name because he doesn't want the dishonour of being truthless to be attached to his father's good name.
Right, but he doesn't appear to have any such compunction about his grandfather. Either his grandfather is dead and is therefore immune to shame (at least in the Shin culture, if it works that way), or he respects his father greatly.

although it does make one wonder why she  didnt just sell her shardblade, it is said repeatedly that peo;e will do just about anything for a shardblade
How would you approach someone about that when you had a Shardblade that no one knew about, and that was quite possibly obtained by murdering your father?

Besides, if she tried to sell it, she might just get killed and have the blade stolen.

If Odium killing Aona possibly caused the Reod then I wonder what Odium's murder of Skai did to Sel.
Hopefully we'll find out soon.
Maybe it created the Skaze.

What Never said. :p
I have a theory that "Cultivation" is the entity Sazed become (simply because that concept incorporates both Ruin and Preservation so well IMO) after becoming a "full" deity.
Cultivation is female.

I think Jasnah is only surprised that Shallan see's them out of Shadesmar, we do not have evidence of Jasnah tied to a Spren.
But Jasnah certainly knows of the connection to Spren and soulcasting, and identified them in Shallan's images. So we know she has seen Spren, and interacted with them in some form relating to soulcasting.
We know that she knows about Spren. But that could be a result of her studies.

So far all orther surgebinders are associated with Spren in some way
"All other surgebinders"?

There's Kaladin and Szeth. That's all we've seen.

I should have said all other surgebinder\windfinder\non-fabrial soulcasters (or maybe suspected new radiants?)

Jasnah, Elhokar, Shallan, Kaladin,
Jasnah isn't associated with Spren as far as I know. She seemed surprised when Shallan told her about the symbolspren.
