Movies and TV / Re: Dollhouse

Loved that Tudyk interview. I laughed at the reference to Serenity when he says he "couldn't stop the signal" once the truth about his *real* role was leaked.

I'd be up for a game of Pictionary with Fillion and Tudyk any day. Hubba, hubba. No, Tudyk isn't "doll" pretty like the others. He even mentions that Joss wanted to go against the typical casting. But I agree w/ Nessa. He's still cute. He sure played a VERY different character from Wash. And he did it brilliantly.

Yeah, congrats, Ookla. I remember you posting something about your new job as EUOL's all-knowing lackey--er, assistant. How are you enjoying it so far? You're still in Cali, right? How is that working, since EUOL is in Utah?

Edit: Oops. Guess you *did* move to Utah. Just saw your post on the BBQ thread in Site News. I hope the move wasn't too rough!

Brandon Sanderson / Re: HoA paperback cover

I like the new paperbacks better than the hardcovers, but the hardcovers are all infinitely better than ugly vin. Yes, I am talking about the first FE paperback. It is, without a doubt, the scariest cover I have ever seen.
*shudder* I was so glad when the new PB covers did away with Ugly Vin.

As for the HoA PB, I quite liked seeing Elend there too. His uniform was a little too... oriental, though, imo. I mean, from the descriptions, I pictured a more Western (European) style uniform. Still, I like how fearless the couple looks.

This thread is one reason why I regret not hanging around TWG more lately. Stupid Facebook, giving me other time-wasting options. ;)

INK, I sure hope EUOL worked out a deal with you to illustrate some T-shirts???

Thanks, Ookla.

Ookla, way to go! You've sold yourself into slaver--I mean, you've found yourself a job! I hope EUOL treats you well. Or as well as any evil overlord can treat anyone without tarnishing his rep. ;)

New car, eh? We wondered where you were keeping yourself.

My life is topsy turvy now too because I am moving at the end of the month. I was working on a scene. But I haven't had much time to do new stuff. I really look forward to writing more of Oddsbreaker. But... it ain't gonna happen this month. =p

'Cuz that's my birth month, of course. ;)

Finally made it to UT after an eight-hour delay in Denver. Oh, and my bag didn't make it. So now I'm waiting for the delivery service to bring it. Waiting, and waiting....

Oh, well. At least our plane didn't skid off the runway and have to get towed like the one that landed right before us! Scary. We passed it as we taxied in. A HUGE tractor was being hooked up to the plane. The airports were SO crowded. With all the bad weather and such, it was a very, very bad day to fly yesterday.  :P

My friend was flying from NY yesterday and got stuck overnight in Cincinnati. This was *after* she waited for five hours aboard the plane on the runway at the NY airport. yeesh.

thanks for the suggestions on the spike ring jewelry. ...
The things we SHOULD have up in time for last minute christmas orders are the metals table medallions (heavy silver circular, with all 16 metals on it) as well as the single metal necklaces.  also have the mistborn vial holders sent
Loki
You're welcome. :)
I can't wait to see what's available for this Christmas!

I appreciate the well-wishing. We're spreading out as many feelers as possible. My parents are already looking at houses and doing research. They can't move farther south, though, because my dad works in way up north. They all want to stay in Orem if possible. Time (and prayers) will tell, though.

Sorry about the rent issue, Discount. You might wanna always go "halvsies" on rent from now on. I find that can work out much better.

Good luck to both of ya. The job market is so bad that I'm just giving up until mid-Jan. A lot of companies are under hiring freezes right now, including Penguin. So... yeah. I'm just focusing on my writing right now and, well, trying to prepare myself for family stuff (i.e. helping them pack and clean and try to find a house) when I visit for the holidays.
