I've read the Bartimaes trilogy.  One of the better ones, I'll say.

For me it's always the vowels.  Talking about Warbreaker with my dad, he just laughed at me when I pronounced Vasher's name as VAW-sher, with a long a.  Is it the 'a' in 'hat', or the 'a' in 'wash'?

And Voldemort's name is also pronounced incorrectly.  The 't' is silent, like the French.

Darn those French people and their funny words!

Indeed.  We're all anxious for details.  Hopefully Lindsay Lohan isn't considered a option in this one, however.

WAITING.  That's all I'm doing, just sitting here, sipping tea and waiting for the release of Dan's book.   ;D

Of course, I'll have to buy champagne, or at the very least sparkling apple juice.

Wait, why can't you blush?

Hmm, I'm half asian, so I think it was to do with my skin tone, or something. My face never turns red, no matter how embarassed I get.... the vampire explination is way cooler though!

Why ruin the dream?  You should have gone along with it... Unless you're a half-asian vampire?

Oh, wait.  There's another thread for that.  Never mind.  :-X

It's a joke.  I'm pretty sure it is.  Lindsay Lohan as Vin?  Short-hair-tough-love Vin?  No.   >:( That's not p-p-possible.

And a 3D Ginger Rogers?  It's an April Fool's Joke, no more.  No more.

Who WOULD you guys cast for the movie?  I think it's covered that it's NOT going to be Lohan.

And I would adore Nathan as Kelsier.

I recently have been cycling between Still Loving You (Scorpions), Coconut Woman (Harry Belafonte), and Don't Stop Believing.  I have no idea why, but I love them all.

Books / Re: What is the best and/or worst recent book you've read?

I once had to read Cold Mountain for a class.   :P

The one time I liked a movie better than a book.  I know it's considered a classic by some, but the dashes for quotation marks is just odd, and serves no purpose. The description is brilliant; however there is so much of it packed into one page, I get tired of it easily.

Also, the main character dies, and their lover has their finger chopped off in the epilogue for some irrelevant reason.  I didn't understand the epilogue until I saw the movie.

So that's my Cold Mountain rant.

Croatian?  Wow, I didn't even know that was a language.  Congrats!

For the above idea, what about digestion?  They would have to account for not only eating nutrients, but breaking them down as well.

It's very awesome.  You used Photoshop, correct?

And just so you know, I'm only getting more excited about this book the more I read about it.
Waiting for the US version.  Right now.  Just waiting.  WAITING....  ;D

The German cover is awesome.  And I also think it's better than the UK one.  I can't wait for the American version.   :D

How many languages has the book been published in, out of curiosity?

Movies and TV / Re: Castle and Firefly

I love Castle.  It's one of two shows I watch regularly; Nathan's just funny, and I love the mystery type shows.

Vampire Weekend was one of my favorites, I have to say.  The Firefly reference at the beginning was clever.
