He must have. I think it's part of the process of becoming a Returned. You die, you see the Iridescent Wave, you have a vision of the future (although you may be unable to recognize it as such), and in some rare cases, you decide to come back and try to fix things.

But the tidbit about Endowment likely being able to see the future is interesting. Unless there is some leftover of power from before the shattering of Adonalsium, and it's that power that's showing visions of the future, he must be a pretty interesting Shard.

It looks like the semi-finals will be a true clash of the titans. We'll probably have Vin vs. Jon Snow on one side, Quick Ben vs. Perrin on the other. And I admit, I don't want a single one of those characters to lose, they all represent giants in the fantasy industry.

The Silence Divine, as far as I know, as not yet written. And Aether of the Night doesn't sound familiar, but the name 'Aether' makes me think of The Liar of Partinel.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: the way of kings as a movie

The Way of Kings has been a very vivid book, full of imagery that would look beyond awesome on screen. I mean, take a step back and think about the world - it's a planet where storms are capable of destroying entire civilizations!

Not to mention that the entire magic system is both relatively low on special effects, and saturated with potential.

Plus, regaining his humanity on his own is a culmination of a personal arc - a meeting with Moiraine would have been somewhat external influence. I believe that the scene as it is makes Rand a stronger character (not necessarily person, but a book character) than what any form of interaction between him and Moiraine would have brought him to.

This being said, I still think his reunion with the Blue Sister will have a great impact on his personality. But it's important to note that he took the bigger step by himself.

Logen is on a level comparable to a koloss when facing Vin. Despite his greater skill, all he really has is fighting abilities and no magic. I think Vin is the clear winner here.

But I definitely see some interesting fights in New Crobuzon and Ankh-Morpork divisions. Raymond Feist's Pug vs. David Gemmel's Druss the Legend? While Pug is probably the most powerful magician of his world, Druss has been known to kill sorcerers - as well as pretty much everything else.

And just below those two fellas, I see Quick Ben vs. Solomon Kane. I am anticipating this.

On a related note, Suvudu is an awesome place to look for new books to read :)

Are the smiley faces intentional? Because, without being insulting, I find them... unpleasant. Some meaningful mark in front of the names would me nice, but I find the smilies a poor choice :(

Yea, armor is very nice! I thought it's more fully - the breast piece looking KIND OF like a turtle shell, but this looks better, regardless of whether it's more realistic :)

The emblem on his shoulder looks a little copy-pasted and it seems to me that it doesn't follow the curves of the spaulder, but other than that it does look pretty solid. Nice job on the Blade dripping water :)

I think he said he won't be able to do Stormlight 2 and AMOL in the same year, so Stormlight 2 would be pushed one year. Not sure though, but I know Brandon didn't like the amount of stress Towers of Midnight & The Way of Kings put him in 2010.

Well, we still have plenty of Warbreaker annotations to go through. And with posting rate of one chapter every 1--2 weeks... :(

Brandon Sanderson / Way of Kings Annotations

I guess this should be directed to Brandon's circle of trusted ones. Will we get WoK (and SA) annotations on the website like we did for Elantris, Mistborn, and (currently) Warbreaker? My gut feeling is to go with "yes," but the Stormlight Archive is a much bigger project, and for some reason it may differ.

And on that note, what about the last three Wheel of Time books? While not entirely Brandon's, I am certain he has some thoughts about them. More than what we see on Twitter/Facebook that is.

I have no answer. It may have to do with that it means to be a Truthless. But I am certain that when Syl offered to leave Kaladin, she said that if she did so, the changes happening to both of them would revert - he would lose his powers and she would go back to being silly. I could give you the benefit of the doubt, assuming that Syl doesn't know for sure whether these things would happen (and Brandon likes doing stuff like that), but her words come as close to truth as we've seen in the book.

@cromptj, I believe that the honorspren binding to Surgebinders are what gives them their abilities. It's a mutual relationship - the human gets Surgebinding, the spred gets... well, humanity. So Szeth's connection with his spren has been severed somehow, he'd lose his abilities.
