I have also read it online and plan on buying the hardback, but one thing to keep in mind with this poll is that the people who are here are the dedicated fans.....
Max is a Shadowblade, a supernatural--and supernaturally competent--warrior bound to protect her witch Giselle. As a Shadowblade, Max doesn't age. She is better, faster, stronger than any ordinary human being. And she hates it. Giselle betrayed her trust to make Max what she is, and though she is magically compelled to protect Giselle and follow orders, Max works against her witch in every way she can. Awww I can't change my vote. I want to vote for Talents!
I'm very excited to have signed copies of all of Brandon's published works. How cool will that be?!
There, inscribed over the door, was a circle split into four sections, with symbols written in each of the four pieces.
"The inner squares say the things you taught, Kaz," I said. "Time, Space, Matter, Knowledge."Alcatraz 2 pg 211
Four physical metals, four mental metals, four enhancement metals, and four temporal metalsHero of Ages pg 476
Cadmium (Pulser) slightly 'pulls' on time in a bubble around the Allomancer stretching it and making it pass more slowly
Cerrobend (Slider) slightly 'pushes' time in a bubble around the Allomancer, compressing it, and making it pass more quickly.
But I think bubble of time is an interesting choice of words....

I glanced back at Bastille and Kaz. They were still frozen, as if time wasn't moving for them.

The bubble of strange time-shift still continued to be in force, however, so the Lens hadn't been behind that.

"Time moves differently in there," I said, looking back at the sarcophagus. It seemed unchanged, the dust hanging in the air, the lamps extinguished.

I think stepping into that circle takes you back in time to the moment he died," I said. Something like that. I'm not exactly sure
Alcatraz and the Scrivener's bones pg 225
For those that haven't read Alcatraz, what probably really happened is that the dead guy in the bubble of time broke time, so his body stays preserved.... even after over 2000 years. The text mentions that the Egyptians tried to copy him by using mummies.
Stupid mummies
Zas
I think that maybe a Duralumin/Nicrosil enhanced Slider (time-slower downer) might be able to do that....

Is the Dor the only confirmed supernatural power in the world?
What power made the monks in to 'demons'?
Occam's razor would suggest that the Dor is the logical place to start. All of the known supernatural enhancements (Dahkor monks, Elantrians, Shuden's exercise) cause the one wielding the power to glow, the Elantrian's permanently, the monks and Shuden when they are using their power. This seems to be a property of the Dor, especially from Raoden's experience. How the monks change themselves to be able to access it is a fair question, but it seems to me, at least, that the Dor somehow being receptive to the chants being used is as good an explanation as any. It could just naturally be one way how humans in Opelon access power.
