I have another question. I haveben re-reading the Final Empire, and it seems to me that in the beginning of the series the Inquisitors are much stronger than a Mistborn, but in HoA, we learn that through Hemalurgic decay, they are actually weaker than a Mistborn, they just have healing. So does healing make up for the Hemalurgic decay? Or is it just experience/special training from Lord Ruler?

Ink, I think you are amazing. I wish I had half the skill of you.

One quick thing though- wouldn't the little Koloss have a 'tight' spot in their skin were the spikes were?

Where is the link for Alcatraz Three cover? I can't seem to find it.

I think I found someone that might be Hoid in WoA!!
Here's the quote:

Quote
A voice, however, stopped her. The speaker was a middle-aged man with an ash-stained beard and a dirty cap held nervously in his hands. He was a storng man, probably a mill worker. His quiet voice seemed a contrast to hist powerful build. "Lady Heir. What will become of us?"
The terror--the uncertainty--in the large man's voice was so piteous that Vin hestitated. He regarded her with hopeful eyes, as did most of the others.
pg 229 WoA

Quote
The bearded  at the front continued to twist his cap, however, looking at Vin.  "They're right frightened Lady Heir. Right frightened."
pg 230 WoA

Right after this,  Vin said that she would help the people, and protect as best she could.  It is the first time she says anything like it to the people (if I remember right)

Since I was looking through books, I decided to put these in too:

Here is FE Hoid:
Quote
The scrawny bald man bowed deeply in the misty night.
pg 268 FE

Here is Elantris Hoid:
Quote
Sarene had never seen his face, but she assumed from his voice that he was an old man.
pg. 562

Here is the descirption of Hoid from Warbreaker:
[quoteHe waved his hand, and an elderly man with an extraordinarily long white beard approached.
Quote
pg  430 Warbreaker 6.1

Quote
As she looked more closely, she could tell that he wasn’t quite as old as he seemed at first glance.  The beard must be a badge of his profession, and while it didn’t appear to be fake, she suspected that it had been bleached.  He was much really younger than he wanted to appear.
pg 431 Warbreaker 6.1

I'm going to buck the trend and say that they all survive. I think that EUOL will keep all of the main characters alive, although he may maim/injure, or maybe even make people go crazy.

I wonder what a Christillyn jacket looks like? Leather perhaps?

-Edit- I didn't want to double post, but I thought of a few more.
Having really bad aim!
Bad eyesight
Sleeping in (also goes under late I suppose....)

I'm sure I'll think of more...

The cover is pretty nice. I think it may be the best out of them all..... besides maybe HoA paperpack (for me at least)

Way of Kings is going to be incredible! Imagine our fake fights with TEN magic systems!!!!

I wonder wich one... Procrastination? Giving annoying comments?
I'm betting it is Forgetting. It just seems to fit.

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks Ookla!

Going back a few pages, I think that if a Smedry marries someone, they have the same exact talent. (Which is why Shasta lost the keys).

Also, I don't think that Fixing could be a Talent, since they all seem to be negative things at first.

But some talents that could happen:
Forgetting things (information), not losing things)
Lying
Making messes
Wasting Time (perfect for this forum)
Giving only enough information to make everyone curious (that's yours Ookla)
Hurting yourself/Accident prone
Being able to make Really Bad Music (could go a LOT of places with this one)
Procrastination (though that is technically being late I suppose...)
Making things that don't work like they are supposed to ('Bloody Stupid' Jackson anyone?)
Making really annoying comments/noises

I think that's all I got.....

Did anyone read the Alternate ending for Mistborn? We now know where Ruin's pool is......

Edit- I also saw this in WoA. Just a little bit of Preservation working his magic.
Quote
Only one way to win a knife fight against a guy with a sword... Elend thought, gripping his knife. The thought, oddly, hadn't come from one of his trainers, or even from Vin. He wasn't sure where it came from, but he trusted it.
Close in tight as fast as possible, and kill quickly.

Edit- Didn't want to double post
I was looking through the annotations when I found this:
Quote
I think the peace offered by this pool is a supernatural force. It has something to do with the physical form of the Elantrians.

I just think this helps reaffirm that the shard that is 'in charge' of Elantrians is also the pool.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: Elantris vs. Mistborn *Spoilers*
« on: April 30, 2009, 01:39:15 AM »
One problem with it is that we often see the masters of the magic instead of the average person.  (especially with Mistborn)
But....
What if we do have the masters? Dilaf, Raoden, A ferchemist that has spent forever training, Suseborn,  Vin(mist powered), Marsh, A Clayshan master....
It would be incredible to watch......

On that topic Vin mist-powered probably could beat anyone, except maybe for the God King.

WAIT! I was wrong. Hoid would totally win.

One thing about kandra..... or I suppose MistWraiths...
Where do the new Mistwraiths come from? I remember Sazed wondering about it, but we never found out.

I don't know, I really like the black-white contrast in between Elend and Vin
