Brandon Sanderson / Re: Warbreaker: Free Ebook

I found a version on mnybks.net and it appers to be a version 4 or version 4.something.  Anyways, because of no conversion on this site, I did not read the version 6.  You can imagine what I went through.  Mistakes and all...  If Mr. Sanderson wants more people to read, wouldn't it be more efficient to offer a MobiPocket version, instead of having people convert themselves?

Utopia, you don't really need him to put out a Kindle-specific version. Just grab one of the mobi versions, connect the K to your computer, and load it up. That's how I read it, and I loved every word of it.

Why should I do all the work?  Sanderson is after all the author.  Makes sense if the site had different versions available.  KINDLE!!!

Brandon Sanderson / Why isn't Mistborn 2 for sale on the Kindle?
« on: August 22, 2008, 11:12:20 PM »
Your first book was given away for free for a promotion for the Kindle, and now it sells for the Kindle for $7.99.  Why not book 2?  Is there a reason not to?
First book for Kindle: http://www.amazon.com/Mistborn-The-Final-Empire/dp/B0017098GO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=digital-text&qid=1219443171&sr=1-1

Maybe also sell your first novel there too.  Maybe people may buy.

Also if your publisher puts your other books on Kindle, can you at least make the Mistborn #2 cheaper than the paperback, please?  You go Mr. Sanderson!!!  LOL

If their job contract says I can, would that be ethical?

Is it just me, or is generally all Mormons mean spirited, angry people who criticize others?  LOL (don't ban me).

Brandon Sanderson / Congraduations Mr. Sanderson!!!!!

I read your Warbreaker version that was available for download from mnybks.net.  I believe it is a version 4 or a version 4.something.  Despite the spelling mistakes, it was interesting.  Perhaps the beginning portion or so was a little lower for me to stay hooked, but then I got hooked later on.  Great twist about Bluefingers, and great move by Lightsong.  Anyways, congraduations, Mr. Sanderson.  Bravo.  I suppose this read, I felt more emotion than your first Mistborn book.  Harray for you!

If you can answer this question, then please do.  How many hours of work do you estimate you spent on the first draft, and other subsequent drafts?  I am inspired to want to be an author just like you!  Maybe I will be the next Dan Brown, too!!!

Perhaps if Mr. Sanderson did this for the Amazon Kindle, people who own a Kindle and know about this, may try it out?  Kindle is an ebook reader, and yes I got one.  In case you don't know some people prefer e-ink technology to read on because it may be easier to read on.  Also, in my opium, I think the wireless Whispernet is pretty cool, too.

Any plans on releasing this on the Amazon Kindle for Kindle download for free?

Maybe a random generator, that you specify the basic synopsis and it automatically fills it in up to the page length you desire to complete a book with characters and plot twists you specify?  And maybe run a million of those processes, and the best version you create, you send to see if publishers will buy?  Anyone know?

Brandon Sanderson / MR. BRIAN SANDERSON (please read)

Mr. BRIAN SANDERSON.

I got your Mistborn book for free Mr. Sanderson.  And I read it.  I got it from the TOR promotion both on the Kindle and on the website.  It was good.  It was good.  I also downloaded your Warbreaker book.

I am wondering if you got any plans on releaseing the current version of Warbreaker on the Amazon Kindle, for free download.  That would be cool.

Anyways, Mr. Sanderson, your Warbreaker book isn't perfect.  And I think I saw someone on Wikipedia that suggested to me that you are Mormon...

What I want to ask is Mr. Sanderson, is being a writer good income?  Like can you estimate on average imcome per year for a writer as good as yoiurself?  Is it livable?

I don't know if I will read the second book of yours because of some reviews I read on Amazon regarding it.  Is the third book any good, and if it is better than the second and first, does the second need to be read to understand the third?

In addition, about your books and belivability.  Some people have criticized Dan Brown books because they are far fetched and unbelivable.  I am wondering if you understand the physical properties of elements such as metals.  I may not be a professional chief, but I believe metals melt, not burn.  And wouldn't ingesting metals, even pure, be bad for the body?  And what about other metals?  Is silver supposed to be atrium?  What about platanium?  Will there be more metals in third book?  How about a rare nuclear fissure metal, that blows up Iran or something?
