Music / Re: What are you Listening to?

At the moment I'm listening to Clint Mansell's "Death is the Road to Awe." Simply an epic piece of music. I get chills every time I listen to anything by Clint. The man is a master of his craft.

Best chapter ever.

Why?

Genma makes his first appearance in Shippuden! Yay!  ;D Plus Kotetsu AND Izumo? Epic.

Seriously though, I enjoyed the chapter. It's really gearing up to the eventual Naruto/Sasuke confrontation, which I predict will happen soon.

Oh, and FINALLY a new Shippuden episode! Seriously, 6 months of filler was beginning to hurt my soul.  8)

Movies and TV / Re: Coolest movie scenes of all time

Banlieu 13 (District B13 in English) has a few really awesome scenes, such as:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOp4UGZ65xM

The guy running in the first scene is (actor) David Belle, who is one of the founders of Parkour.  (Warning, scenes contains some language, though it's all in French)

That's awesome Jade! I've never heard of that movie, but I love watching Parkour.  :D

But she promised him he'd be the next Hokage.  Remember, after the big fight with Orochimaru, she gave him her necklace and promised him that.

Depends on the translation. The one I remember reading has her telling him that she acknowledges that he COULD become Hokage, one day.

I side with Inquisitor on this one. Naruto obviously has the strength/Will of Fire/Talk no Jutsu, but he still lacks experience. Plus Kakashi needs some lovin', he's been jobbed out too much lately.  :D

Ewwy!  Danzo can't be hokage!  Gah, they are so dumb, stupid stupid people.

There's gotta be something Danzo has on the Fire Lord. Although Naruto did help rescue his wife's cat way back in the day...hmmm....  ???

This proves that Rinnegan>Sharingan. I don't recall the Sharingan being able to bring countless people back to life. And on thate note, Kakashi's back, so I'm not complaining.

Pretty much this. ^  :D

I never doubted Kakashi's survival. It wasn't an epic enough death. Heck, even Asuma had a more epic death.  :)

Although I will say, I am very curious as to what the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan can do.

I know what you mean. Thread was still funny though.

Well, once in a blue moon there will be something worthwhile on there.  ;) I've never seen the other manga in the reference, so I can't say whether or not it's funny.  :)

Found this. Thought it was funny. :)

As much as I try to read Narutofan, 90% of the people on their are bigoted, racist children. Which is unfortunate, because I really would like to discuss Naruto on there.  :(

THAT WAS LAME............

I think he gives his Rinnengan to Naruto...ending his pathetic excuse for a life

I actually think it was quite the opposite of lame. Nagato didn't start out as a cold-blooded villain. His true purpose was peace, although he went about it in the wrong way. He asked Naruto for another way, a way to break the chain of hatred. Naruto did this by not killing Nagato, even after he killed his father figure (Jiraiya), critically injured/killed his mentor (Kakashi), critically injured Hinata, etc. etc.

This shocked Nagato. I thought it was a brilliant chapter.

And as for whatever he's going to give/do to Naruto next chapter, who knows.  :D

Realistically, giving him the Rin'negan would make him way too OP. I think he's just going to either give Naruto the "Demonic Statue of Heretical Doctrine," or destroy it all-together.  8)

I really enjoyed that last chapter. Seeing the statue as a summon was epic, as was its aftermath. I love the conflicted Naruto, it lends more gravitas to the character.

Although, I'm really just waiting to see the Raikage again. I don't know what it is, but he humors me.  :D

Movies and TV / Re: Supernatural
« on: May 12, 2009, 01:51:19 PM »
Wow I can't think of a more offensive piece of tripe than "Supernatural", unless it's "Touched by an Angel".  Supernatural is just dangerous.  It desensitizes unprotected people to some of  the very real potential hazards to the psyche of unbelievers.

Wow. I know everyone's entitled to their opinion and all, but that statement is just out there. How in the world is it dangerous?

For the record, Reaves, I thoroughly enjoy the show. It is one of the best programs on television at the moment. Although now, it is drifting away from the general "Monster-of-the-week" episodes in favor of a more story-arc driven plot, but it is still good nonetheless.

I'm going to go against the opinion of the majority here and say that I liked this last chapter. I thought it was better than the chapter before it. We got to see Danzo when he was a young ANBU, more of Hanzo and Nagato's second pain. Next weeks chapter should be good.

Two fish swim into a concrete wall. The one turns to the other and says, "Dam!"
