Just picked up American Gods. Hope it's good.

Well, there's a few grammatical mistakes that need to be fixed in post, but that was pretty good.

More, please.

You forgot (V).

In any case, It's much better than either of the previous two snippets. I fail to find fault with it.

They're some good ideas here. Overall, decently written, but there were a few lines that were jarring. "You can see why Isis preferred the males." For instance. It breaks suspension of disbelief by creating a narrator who is aware of the audience. Also, the last line is in the same vein.

So, write something else. I'd like to read it.

I didn't like it at first, but it got better as you went further in. You have a strange mix of third person limited and omniscient. You keep mentioning her thoughts, and then saying things like "She was only a child." Things she would never think about themselves.

I liked the slave angle, but like most of the ideas presented, they were approached roughly, and then proceeded to become smoother the further into the idea you went.

As long as this section gets the kind of polish that the first one did, I don't have a problem with it. You took something Raw and turned it into something smooth. As it is, this section is raw, and needs plenty of reworking, but I think you can fix it.

I ordered it months ago. I am also not allowed to speculate, since I have read the ARC.

I'll tell you some certainties in a 13 days, and add a spoiler tag. I'll probably yell some speculation at you, too.

Until then, I can't say what I know.

I'm sad. Someone showed me their ARC, and I got to read a chapter or two from it, then he took it away. It feels now like I'm missing out on something...

That's terrible. I would NEVER* do that to anyone. It's too cruel!

*unless I thought it would be funny.

Where's that forum for people who've read the ARC? 'cause I can't find a link anymore.

This is now my favorite book, and will be until I find a better. (umm......) I was captured from the first sentence. LOVE this book.

I started reading it to my little brother (11), despite his protests of starting a new book. 'Cause he hates it when I get him hooked on a new book while he's in the middle of one. He's now reading the book on his own. As completely absorbed as I was.

I've read it 4 times now, I think? gets better every time.

I picked up something awesome last time. Kote means disaster. Telling, no?

One so far. I'm a book pusher, though. More will follow.

I can't stop reading the Name of the Wind. I've had it checked out from the library for..8? 10? weeks now? Whenever i finish I read A mistborn book again, and must return. I'm going to be reading the copy I bought to avoid $30 library fines to my 11 year old brother at night.

Why is this book so good? AGH!
