Sorry I haven't been around for a while.
I have to tell you though, I have been loving Crystalheart! Not only is it a wonderfully original idea, but you have been consistently throwing me amazing curve balls that I didn't see coming. I have been loving it! Please keep it coming. I love being surprised.

While I too thought that this was a let down after the last, I did enjoy the subtle growth of Craig's Bond in this one. This generation of the franchise truly has potential if they can get the writing and plot back on par with Casino.

The only other request I have is that from now on you don't use courier new single spaced. The journalism major in me screams at that font (it's what our printers use if there is something wrong the the standard formating of a page).

I apologized earlier, as I grabbed the file that was a straight TXT to DOC conversion with no reformatting. I am ashamed. :-[

Thanks  for all the other comments guys. I  guess I have a lot of work to do. Still, not bad for a first draft, eh?
Don't worry, I'll get back to polishing it until it is blinding.

Ok, one thing I am guessing at is that Ashley may have some of the abilities that were destroyed by the Crashers and it was her TK that trashed the picture.

Doh! someone beat me to it.

I would like to try and submit bi-weekly for the next couple months as I am trying to get things ready for the writing contest. After that, I will probably switch to once a month.

Oh boy! My first chance to possibly get to kill someone's little darling.  I can hardly wait to read it now.
You my friend are next to be read. Let me go and get the pointy sticks and read hot pokers.  ;D

Works for me. Anything short of a false insulting of my heritage is fair game.
If it's a true factual insult of my heratige, game on.

That was a rally interesting start.  I felt just as confused and lost as the main character.
I will be honest, at first I was almost scared out as I am still dealing with the scare I got from my wife's cancer treatment.
However, it really helped me feel for the MC.

I have to agree that the replay of the bar conversation had me confused to the point that I thought I had backtracked.
The change was rather dramatic when I got to it.

I'm looking forward to seeing just what has happened to him.

Ok, this could really go somewhere. I like to think I have guessed where, but with the thought that appears to have gone into this so far, I most likely will be wrong.
You have me right where you want me, with many questions I want answered, I am desperately looking forward to more.
 ;D

Now it is probably just me, but I am often put out by those who put forward the premise that we are destroying the planet.
Granted, the introduction of teleportation would solve our transportation issues, however oil has so many other uses in our society that I doubt it could ever be totally done away with. From food to pharmaceuticals to nearly everything not made of "whole" wood, petroleum is involved in it.
Granted 300 years from now I am sure that extraction and refinement will have advanced greatly, but I am sure there will still be a need for oil. After all, what would their computers be made out of?

That's it from me. Finally, I know.

Actually, that was the type of point by point review I was hoping for. This has hardly been seen by anyone, so I knew it would be rough tossing it in here, but I needed to know where to put the polish to.
Also, your WordDoc Comments were very helpful. Thanks. Now I need to tear back into it and see what fiddly bits to throw out and which to punch up.

Also, let me apologize to everyone, I should have opened up and looked at the file before sending it as that was just my straight TXT file exported to Word, and it did need some more formatting. Totally my fault. And I absolutely PROMISE it won't happen again. Talk about opening the door into your own face.

I like the take on the magic system, I think it's rather original, and you seem to have thought it out.

I enjoyed it as a read, but I have yet to know which side I am supposed to be rooting for, that is a good thing for a prologue. I find myself desperately wanting more and that is just what you want, to keep the reader reading.
