Very nice... amazingly huge... I guess I just work in way to small of an image.. the bad habits of designing web backgrounds on a small comp when I was learning.

Yeah.. I'm not real crazy about the dark angled lines. When I make a tillable background I don't want it to make patterns so my instinct would have been to Cut the center block out of that tillable image and then use that.. same basic texture without the pattern creation caused by those dark angled lines. But that is just me.

Nice job on that texture by the way, White.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: Theory on why Vin is so powerful *spoilers*

I get tired of worrying about minor details that I don't know are going to be rectified, I've read to much Jordan to do that anymore.

Aint that the truth.  ;D

Though I do see plausibility in this theory the more I think about it, of course I have also learned after reading Jordan so much that sometimes things are made obvious for the shear value of misleading. In my opinion all writers are Aes Sedai. Its all in that dodgy wording they use. Hmmm.. I should re-read stuff and look for those little nuances but honestly I am just to lazy.

I was honestly hoping she would just decide to clean up all the notes and release all of that as a nice little WoT supplement. Want to plant that bug in her ear for me Brandon ;) ?

I am a fan of series because I like to dive in a world and read lots about it, but at the same time the world has to be right for it. I also love stand alone books. It is the story that counts, not how many books it takes to tell it. Honestly I think a good 2 booker would be great. Feed the need for deeper exploration of a world without the drag that often comes with a third book. And thats just my opinion.

I may not know a great deal about dialogging or be able to write a full story line, but with the bit of writing I do an being a Dungeon Master with millions of NPCs in a more freestyle play environment I have only this to say.

A change in accent/speech pattern occurs from time to time when a character is in a group dynamic, but always make sure that the change in accent/speech pattern is character driven and not just because it is easier for you as an author. Speech is an major part of your characters, and can actually be very defining to who they are and to change that without allowing them to grow through it us to write about them and not from them, which if it occurs mid-story can really suck for a reader. If you are in the beginning of your story and you just don't want to hassle with it and don't think it will make much difference in the story then it shouldn't be to difficult to go and change their speech, but remember that when you change the way one person says something it changes the way the other people perceive it.

Anyway, thats just my 2 cents.

My problem is not so much that I can't write as much as I lack dialogging skills and I can never finish a story line.

That is such great advise.. man I wish i could write. :(

Yes, yes, but there is great joy in trying to get those small pieces of information out of an author.. part of it is the challenge, the other part is that some people just want to know all the details of a world.

They like some movies just fine (like Narnia) ...

Does that mean you have intention of seeing Prince Caspian when it comes out? :D lol

And I didn't take it personally, I'm just far from being a child and don't quite remember what children find haunting etc..

:? Guess I should reserve my opinion of movies to things over PG-13 then. I guess I have a different perception on things.

I can't say too much without spoilers for Mistborn 3, but suffice it to say that if I were to write more books in this world, I would want to do some new things with the magic.  Some events at the end of Mistborn 3 have large ramifications on the way the magic works and the way the setting would proceed.

You know.. this reminds me greatly of RJ's favorite comment. "Read and Find Out"...
*shrugs* just struck me that way.
