Yeah... things happened. Last weeks episode led into the best and most tense episode of the year, one where the Humans and Cylons team up, Baltar starts showing up in Rosylns dreams, and humans have a shot at taking out the resurrection ship. Also Gaida is now christened stumpy mcstumperson.

WOW!

hmmm what if the centurions and raiders turn on the human cylons and they need the protection of the humans... that'd be an interesting twist.

Callys death was terrible. Tragic, pointless and horrible and it hammers home that the final 5 really aren't human. Also Foster is out of control and she has a hybrid. Starbuck is tying up a lot of good soldiers on her goosechase Gaida, Diana, Hero, Athena... and Anders!!

This episode resonated with me a lot and left me very sad.

ahhhh but what if they find an earth full of pre-Cylons, and the humans were the ones driven off into space before, only to return in desperation after they created their own cylons.

My head is spinning.

never ever had good science. the 4th doctor stops the master once with a home made mobile. Its primary component is an apple on a fork. Seriously....

I think thats why I like the Doctor. Sci-fi ... its more a mix of bad horror and techno-babble but it definately fills its own niche.

I did say spoilers....

Its so much easier catching the series over the internet with the BBC. They offer it free to britons that way via their web player (which doesnt work in the US) and many folks record it. Sadly Dr. Who will never be in HD because the director Russel T Davies feels all the sets will suffer because we can see how crappy they are.

Hello, did he see any Dr. Who prior to the year 2005?

So, the Doctor (David Tenant) has returned with Donna Noble the Runaway bride (Catherine Tate) from the Christmas Episode in 2006. So far only 2 episodes have been broadcast on BBC and Im watching it through the magic of bittorrent.

The first episode Partners in crime features a sleuthing Donna acting in much the same role as Sarah Jane Smith ferreting out a company that makes pills that melt away the fat. She and the Doctor are both sleuthing actually and somehow keep missing each other for most of the episode. Then when they finally meet theres a brilliant scene where the two of them are mouthing and gesturing at each other for 5 or six minutes through windows on either side of a room the bad guys are interrogating a reporter in. Five or six minutes! But the best part is when they suddenly realise that the bad guys have been watching them for about 4.

Its awesome...

Pretty much like this...
Quote
The Doctor: [mouthing from behind soundproof glass] Donna???
Donna: [also mouthing] Doctor!!!!
The Doctor: But...what? Wha... WHAT??!?
Donna: Oh! My! God!
The Doctor: But... how?
Donna: [pointing at self] It's me!
The Doctor: Well, I can see that!
Donna: oh this is brilliant!
The Doctor: But... what the hell are you doing there???
(Donna's just so thrilled, she waves! Big smile!)
The Doctor: But, but but, why, what, where, when?
Donna: You! I was looking for you!
The Doctor: What for?!
Donna: [miming in a surreal sense while the Doctor looks more and more confused] I, came here, trouble, read about it, internet, I thought, trouble = you! And this place is weird! Pills! So I hid. Back there. Crept along. Heard this lot. Looked. You! Cos they--
[On 'they', gestures and looks towards Miss Foster, who is staring at her. As are the guards. Penny too.]
Donna: [freezes] Oops.
Miss Foster: [out loud] Are we interrupting you?
The Doctor: [mouthing] Run![1]

I think that no matter what happens to the colonials they'll become extinct anyway. I mean humanity is down to less than 400,000 people. How many of them can even breed, how long can the food last, how long can they keep building fighters. The Cylons stated that there are millions of humanoid cylons there aren't any stats on centurions and raiders, but it has to be huge. So humanity is doomed even if it wins.

sad. but awesome.

Baltar ROCKS! He's so crazy that who knows whats in his head. The Cylon crisis is sweet too. But the real star of the show was Starbuck who was utterly insane and awesome. BSG is all about the crazy this season.

Say goodbye to Cally. According to TV Guide
Quote
Cally learns the truth about Tyrol.
in next weeks episode.

I liked her too.

Of course she could kill him.

So, theres that.

But someone will die beacuse TV guide has this to say about the next week.

Quote
Baltar's beliefs create a controversy for those faithful to the 12 Lords of Kobol, and a crew member's demise casts a pall on the Colonials.

the one thing we do know actually is that Starbuck is unequivocally not a Cylon. Everyone involved with BSG who's been interviewed has come out and point blank said... no its someone else.

Now they could lie, but that'd be a total gyp. Better to just say "Im not going to spoil it."

I do however think that the last Cylon will be a woman, and a woman of gravitas and authority.

So, Alex I guess you guys resolved the issues with Harmony Gold?

I saw the book in Compleat Strategist and it was nice looking its perfect bound and the size of a trade paperback. I didnt look at it too hard though. I assume its the same Palladium system.

Also, the seems to be a lot more male cylon models than female cylon models. Why is this?

Its a fair question, and possibly a clue to the origins of the Cylons themself. Now that I think about it the answer may lie in the Caprica mini-series coming up about the creation of the Cylons...
Quote
Originally, according to E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos, Ron Moore didn't intend to show the forebears of any Galactica characters in this spin-off. But he's apparently changed his mind — which could have something to do with the Sci Fi Channel's decision to greenlight the backdoor pilot — and now we'll see Bill Adama's father, Joseph. As you may have heard, Caprica is the story of attorney Joseph Adama and his relationship with the Graystone family.

Daniel Graystone is a computer genius, married to the unfaithful Amanda, a gifted surgeon. Their daughter, Zoe, dies in a suicide bombing by religious fanatics, including Zoe's boyfriend. Also killed in that bombing: Joseph Adama's wife and daughter.

Before Zoe dies, she installs the "rudimentary elements" of her personality and DNA into a computer, creating a digital twin called Zoe-A. After Zoe dies, her father uses that materials, along with soem stolen technology to create a robot version called Zoe-R. This is the "Cylonic Eve."

So maybe the first model of human cylon is Zoe and is a female model we've seen before.

and thats the problem beyond introducing a new character they dont have a lot of choices. Apparently in the comic there were psylon copies of Zarek though, according to Io9. So, maybe they already dropped the ball.
