You kids and your Pokemon.

Hey, whoa. No dissing Pokemon.

I would have to say Mass Effect. It showed me what an RPG was really capable of after years and years of nothing but FPS's and RTS's and GBA/DS RPG's. (Not that I don't love FPS's and RTS's, 'cuz I do, but they rarely give you much power to make choices.) Not only does it let you make choices, but those choices actually have (gasp!) consequences. Such as characters dying if you screw up, or making things much harder for you down the line.
Now I'm left wanting more of it and I can't get it until March. Argh.

Yes... why is a Student of Warfare a Beggar on entry? This is confusing.

In defaince of all that has come before and the usual conventions against necro-posting (it's still on the first page; does that make this necro-posting?) , I will now post as if nobody else has responded to this blasphemy.

NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! THIS CANNOT STAND UNPUNISHED!!!!!

T-Square. Join me. Let us ready our obsidian knives and Oculator's lenses and go 'deal with' the person that stocks those shelves. He/she is clearly a Librarian, an agent of Ruin, and a Derethi priest(ess). At the bare minimum. He/she might also be a Parshendi and/or a mercenary.

My Steam ID is... Wordwyrm. I strive for equality of names across all parts of the interwebs.

And I play Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, and Portal 2. Not with any real regularity, though; I'm mainly a single-player-game gamer.

I second the motion for Mass Effect. If you haven't played it, you really should. It's both an excellent RPG and a good FPS, and the depth of the setting is extraordinary.
