That would probably be better than my A-Grade fertilizer.

I will start searching for the episodes online, but it will probably Thursday before I can attempt to watch. Sad to hear that the first episode was disappointing, hopefully things will take an okay turn. Depending on how philosophically the show is motivated may mean I need to stop earlier rather than later. It would be nice to see an interesting incarnation of the story though.

The secular conception of them not actively doing anything. The arrogant air of superiority. That kind of thing

Though I will admit, even with my dislike of where he is right now the acting is superb.

Not really sure what I think of Castiel. The writers have spent three season making a point that we don't know everything about the supernatural world. Everything works very differently and has much different and deeper meanings than the secular world gives it credit for. So when they do exactly the opposite of that with Castiel, I feel really worried and saddened. They actually had a chance to do something interesting, and instead they just try to prove everyone conceptions right.

I had seen that when i watched the episode, and it was awesome =).

Video Games / Star Wars: Force Unleashed
« on: November 02, 2008, 04:19:53 PM »
I finally sat down to play this game yesterday. I picked it up when it first came out, but just keep doing other things. It might have something to do with my first reaction to it even coming out. 'Oh no, here comes more Star Wars. More things labeled as good simply because it has the logo.' Thankfully, I was surprised.

The storyline so far is rather engaging. It seems like it will be fairly complex, but not over the top. And it is just simply interesting to start out as evil in this universe. The story is very linear, so be prepared  if you go into it expecting Knight of the Old Republic.

Seems about enough gameplay for about 8-10 hours. Some extra things in each level that will keep collectors happy. Some spiffy unlocks too to make your character visually entertaining. There is a experience system that feels a little forced into the game. It is definitely not min/max supportive. It feels like they placed it there simply so you wouldn't be able to do everything. Either all at once, or at the beginning of the game. It eventually makes sense though, so I am not going to give it too much guff.

It looks gorgeous on the PS3 though. I assume the XBOX versionlooks nice as well (I am choosing to ignore the existence of the Wii for the time being). The environments are definitely interesting and feel rather immersive once you get farther into the level.

Overall it looks like it will be fun time through the game, even if only for a short while.

Stuff like this really bothers me. Christians are supposed to be a think first, act later group of people. Self promoted as not being over-judgmental. A willingness to show compassion to the person and not the sin. These were the big things I was raised with. And aside from what my beliefs are now, I still yearn to see these things from the Christians communities because it is exactly what they preach. But, things like this just help promote the secular conception of Christians. The exact opposite of everything I just mentioned. Sometimes it feels like they are trying to find reasons to bring themselves back to what everyone thinks they are really like.

Kettle Corn and Klondike Bar are the only others I could think of. You could be a rebel and spell cranberry with a K.
