When I switched my license to Utah, they printed out a temporary license and I got my real one in the mail later. So I guess Colorado is not the only one.

You're on a forum full of writers and editors who love to make fun of people for spelling and grammatical errors and you wondered if anyone would notice?

I love how at the moment, I'm getting an ad on the main page for the forum that is in an Asian language. Where'd that come from?!

BTW...since we've talked about pizza in this thread.

Cheap Pizza Recipe

I just wanted to thank JenaRey for the recipe. I made it last Friday and it was a great Friday night dinner. I went a little spendy and used Prego sauce and shredded cheese, but it was really good and fast. Yea!

It was a grad school application to an MBA program (4 essays). The guy wanted to make sure it was as perfect as possible so he has the most chance of getting in. It was only a little over 2 hours of work, but hey, it's $45 (minus taxes, ugh). It is someone who works at my company. I was recommended by some other editors here since they didn't have time and figured I'd do a good job.

I just got asked if I could do some freelance editing work. Sure it's only an hour or two worth of work, but it's still a little extra money and I told him I charge $20/hr (as if it was what I always charge. But actually this is the first freelance job I've gotten :)). If anything that's low, though, cause one of my co-workers who told this person to ask me told me I should charge $25-$50/hr, but $20 came out, so that's okay. I'm excited about the extra moolah.

Yeah, I'd definitely find out how much it costs to go to a dental school in the area. It's usually way cheap and they have instructors checking their work.

Except for some memorabilia. I like the idea of being able to show my kids some stuff from my childhood. My mom has held to most of this stuff for me (mostly for lack of being able to get it here), but my husband's mother sent all of his to us. You just have to learn to keep this to a minimum. Like my mom kept a couple of my drawings as a kid and my kindergarten handprints, but not any more drawings than that. We both kept our high school diplomas. You know, just a few things that mean something to you.

That's the predicament I found myself in as well. I wasn't sure if I wanted to move, but no where knew if they had openings because they wouldn't be told by their tenants until 30 days before the end of the month (since no one could possibly not procrastinate till that day of course). So I pretty much had to give notice with faith that I'd find something better. Luckily I found somewhere great that was bigger, better location, and only $50 more a month, but you never really know. That's why it's so frustrating. Decide whether you think it's worth moving even if it costs more, I guess. I hate that!!

I'm there with Sprig. When I moved the last time, I hated having to move all that stuff and so I'd rather get rid of anything there's no way I'd need so I have less to move. I think if your mother-in-law, E, were to have to move, she'd realize how worthless it was to move all that stuff with her and get rid of it.

And when we moved last, I found I couldn't even start looking until a month before the end of our contract. I tried earlier, but everyone told me that they wouldn't know if they people moving until then or what would be available. I would also see postings in the paper that would say, "Available now" so I figured if I couldn't move soon (ie within days) they wouldn't want me. This is not exactly true because the apartment I ended up getting had said "Available now" since October and I moved in in January. I just asked if it would be okay if I got the apartment for Jan 1 and they said okay. I guess they figured they'd had it on the market long enough that if they were going to find someone sooner they would have. But if I had asked before December, I'm not sure they would have said yes. Apartment hunting is an annoying thing! (Although I love my new apartment!)
