Oh very well, I'll bite the bullet. These stupid Titles VII INCOMING!!!
A lot of people describe Scalzi’s Old Man's War novels as military science fiction, but I would classify its sequel Zoë’s Tale as a space opera. It’s a story about, well, Zoë, a teenage girl whose parents are invited to take leadership roles in building a colony on a new planet. Zoë is an enthusiastic member of the group sent to colonize Roanoke, despite the risks—and the risks are considerable even before the political machinations of greater powers boil to the surface. Seriously, it's fun. And I was a skeptic.
Well, at first I was confused. Then I was a skeptic. Now I like it.
Which doesn't preclude me being confused.
BUT!
You should duel.
No more than "government work" or "military intelligence"... (I work for the gov....)
I see honor as more flexible. To me its more like being true to who you are. Not hypocritical and not taking advantage of people. So I have no problem imagining a scared little mouse of a man, who wouldn't harm a fly being called honorable
