A lot of people describe Scalzi’s Old Man's War novels as military science fiction, but I would classify its sequel Zoë’s Tale as a space opera. It’s a story about, well, Zoë, a teenage girl whose parents are invited to take leadership roles in building a colony on a new planet. Zoë is an enthusiastic member of the group sent to colonize Roanoke, despite the risks—and the risks are considerable even before the political machinations of greater powers boil to the surface. With a servant, that's their job, done. But with a page its a right of passage. Be a "servant" to teach you humility, but with the promise that if you are diligent enough(worthy)then a promotion is forthcoming. Page, Squire, Knight.

I wouldn't really call that a group. We really didn't define ourselves as such. Actually, I'm not sure what we were.
Drinking friends? Or at least a group of people who enjoy drinking venomous drinks that may or may not leave a part of you temporarily paralyzed?
But Kareoke is fun =p.
