Title: The Hobbit Movie
Post by: Renoard on February 02, 2011, 05:12:31 AM: They keep announcing or rumoring a realease of Hobbit. But to date all we've ever gotten is the crappy cartoon that never finished.

Now it's slated for release in 2012. But wait! It's in two parts and we only get the FIRST half in 2012. Dejavu all over again.

Post by: Renoard on March 12, 2011, 03:35:06 AM: I got an update from the horse's mouth that the Hobbit is supposed to be the whole book, while the second movie will be material from sources like Farmer (Jiles of?) Hamm and Simarillion.

Post by: guessingo on May 06, 2011, 02:53:33 PM: I think there are 2 movies. The first will be the hobbit, the second will be an original movie that will bridge the gap between the hobbit and lord of the rings. I don't know how much Tolkein wrote about this, so alot of the content may be original.
