Title: Could Nessie be real?
Post by: T-Square on January 10, 2011, 05:04:11 PM
In Scottland, there is a deep, dark lake called Loch Ness. It is surrounded by tall pine trees, giving it an isolated appearance. The spooky ruins of Urquhart Castle rest on one shore. There is something unusual about this lake. People claim to have seen a monster rise out of it. The thing, they say, had a long neck, slimy, grayish skin, and humps on it's back, like a camel. The Scottish have given this "monster" a name. They call it Nessie. Over the years, Nessie has made many questions arise.
WHAT IF Nessie really is part of a line of Plesiosaurs long though to be extinct?
IF this is true, what if Nessie isn't the only one?
WHAT if other cryptids like Bigfoot and The Yeti are all part of an interconnected line of dinosaurs long thought to be extinct?
WHAT IF the human race itself is in danger of being overthrown by a NEW ERA OF DINOSAURS?!?!?!??!?????
Well, I was asking those questions too. So I posted this. Tell me what you think.

If there's a dinosaur in the loch, then either it's immortal or there's a flock of 'em.  If there are immortal dinosaurs, then the world is much stranger than I suppose.  And if there's a herd (a pod?) of Nessies, then the loch is too small to provide enough food, or enough space to hide.  So, no.

My theory is that it's a clever scheme by the locals to bring in tourists.  We elect Mayors, they elect Nessie machine operators.
