Congrats!   Not bad!

I can't help but notice that Terry Brooks' new Shannara book debuted at #5.

But, Brooks has been at this a lot longer than Brandon!

Great to see Brandon getting recognition for his "solo" books.

Do books usually move down in position after initially debuting on the New York Times Bestsellers List?  Is there a chance the WoK could move up to the #1 position?

Towers of Midnight is listed as being ahead of Way of Kings in sales on amazon. It is not due out until November. Do the pre-orders get rolled into the first week sales by the New York Times?

Is there anywhere to see how many books are sold by the new york times bestsellers? When I look at the list it does not say. I am curious how many sales it takes on average to get into the top 10?

Other than Terry Brooks new book, have any other TOR books done better than #7 ? #7 sounds very good for a brand new series. It seems like fantasy series sales tend to go up with more books in a series since it picks up steam over time.

That is awesome! I lurk at my local barnes and noble and they have sold out of their first shipment and are getting more in. I agree that this is going to be my favorite new series too. I love huge epic fantasy series like this. He has done a great job world-building which is a huge deal to me too. Congrats Brandon!!
