Title: ICQ
Post by: Miyabi on January 13, 2010, 10:43:19 AM

So I downloaded ICQ.  It seems to be a pretty intense messenger, sadly I have like no contacts.  I flipped through what few people here had ICQ and added them if I knew who they were, but if you have an ICQ add me my number is 566999464.

Also, what do you think of ICQ?

What do you mean by "intense"? I use Trillian Astra, so it would be easy enough to get ICQ. I've done so in past Trillian versions. Problem is, I can never remember my ICQ number. If anything, me having ICQ just gives me random spam from bots randomly putting in numbers. Good instant messaging, this is not. So I'm curious as to what you mean by "intense" or why you like it.

It's like . . . the messenger looks fun to play with.  It's very . . . . I dunno.  ha ha.  I just want to play with it and try it for the most part.

this pretty accurately sums up my experience with ICQ

LOL my ICQ number is so much lower than yours.

Not that I have used ICQ in years.

Wow, there's a blast from the past. Does anyone actually still use ICQ? I remember trying it once in the mid-90's, going "meh", and never touching it again.

ICQ has ads now? Wow.

The only marginally cool thing about ICQ was the chat mode where you could mock each other's typos. :D

I haven't used ICQ in like 10 years.  I may be wrong, however, but isn't ICQ interoperable with AIM?

My phone does SUCH a better job at carrying a conversation than IM.

Kaz, would you kindly refrain from trolling in my threads.  It would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Peace, Kaz and Miyabi, peace...

ICQ is indeed interoperable with AIM. Or so Trillian tells me, at least.

I merely stated my opinion. I never called anyone names or derogatory adjectives, just because i disagree with you doesn't give you a right to bark at me.
