Title: The naming of the character Zane in Well oif Ascension (spoiler)

Does anyone else think that Brandon was being a touch to ironic by giving Elend's half-brother the name "Zane"? ;)

Like "zany," maybe?

I know some people who just had a baby boy named Zane.  It makes me think of Zane Grey.

the character zane is insane! The scene in which we see him meet with Straff for the first time, God's voice is constantly telling him to kill people. At one point he cuts his own arm to quiet the voice.

Uhmm....Zane WASNT insane....unbalanced perhaps, but not insane.  The voice was real, not just an imagination...

Cutting your arm to quiet the voices sounds a bit insane to be. But whether technically insane or merely unbalance the name is still quite ironic.
