Title: Undead Questionnaire
Post by: Eagle Prince on July 07, 2005, 01:09:00 AM
If you come up with other good or funny questions go ahead and add them.

1. What are your thoughts on the new intelligent zombies, faster moving zombies, and Chinese hopping zombies, compared to the more traditional zombie?

2. Are you drawn more to the supernatural powers of undead, or their immortality?

3. If given a choice, would you prefer to be a lich, or a death knight?
3a. (Bonus sub question, what is the origin of the lich and its name to the best of your knowledge?)

4. What do you think of the alternate spelling "Vampyre"?

5. Do you find it morally unethical for health care companies to deny coverage on undead Union workers?

6. Have modern stories, in your opinion, destroyed the fear of becoming a vampire?

7. What do you think of undead with seemingly no weaknesses (ie The Grudge, The Ring, etc).
7a. (Sub question, what do you think of the modern evolvement of atheist vampires unaffected by holy symbols?)

8. Half-vampires, hot or not?

Do you believe that "undead" is more, or less, culturally loaded than "unlife." Why?

12. Are the undead murderers or are they victims to society?

13. How much government funding do you think should be given to undead research?

14. Is undead affirmative action moral? Do you believe they should count as a minority group?

15. Should people who destroy the undead be subject to legal process?

On a scale of one to ten please answer the following questions, with one being the lowest and ten being the highest:

17: How Evil is EUOL?

18: How Undead is EUOL?

19: How good of an Overlord has EUOL been?

On a scale of one to ten, EUOL has been extremely Evil, extremely Undead, and would be a perfect Overlord if he had more cookies.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give EUOL an 8 when he spends time with me, a 10 when he buys me things, a 1 when he hits me with pillows, a -5 when he throws me off a jetski and then blames me for it, and a 12 when he puts his arm around me and says nice things without prompting. So, on average, I would say that he is at about an 8 or 9 as an evil undead overlord (since how he treats me, the most important person in the world, has a direct reflection on his ability to rule the world--especially the undead world.) ;)

does being undead qualify you for a good dental plan?

Do you think that would make up for the other disadvantages of actually being undead?

Human flesh can be eaten with false teeth, so the dental plan might not be quite what you think.

Do employers unfairly discriminate against workers based on their "living" status?

Do the undead actually choose to work late nights, or is it something forced on them?

In an effort to post my legal career, I am willing to represent all undead who have suffered from unfair discrimination. However, being that "living" status in not currently a "suspect" or "quasi-suspect" class of discrimination, I make no warranties about legal success. In fact, actually suing on a theory of discrimination against the undead would be ill-advised.

P.S. I'll send 42 an invoice for this great legal advice.

Legal question that I can't figure out.

Do the undead have heirs?

For that matter, can property they owned when they were were alived be repossed after somebody inherited it, like a revision following becoming undead as a condition subsequent?

This I believe comes down to the terms of the contract.  If person X got your stuff upon your death, then being undead shouldn't affect it too much.  There are ghost stories of people coming back from the dead, and then their spouse couldn't collect the death insurance.  But again I think that would come down to the exact wording of the contract.  Very many of these cases and no doubt they would push some new laws through congress on how to handle such things and death insurance and the case of undeath, resurrection, etc.

I think this would also be the case for undead spawn.  Even if you got a judge to rule that undead spawn is the same as your child, unless you made an underage spawn, they would already be of legal age and you wouldn't need to take care of them.  But this does seem a bit unfair to the newbies who need a head-up into undead society.  So do you go by their age since birth, or age since death?  Quite the legal headache, which is why we do these surveys from time to time.

Where is EUOL?

Why has he not offered more of his expert advice in this area?

I had a dream that I was dating a vampire but I told him it wouldn't work out because I wanted to have children.

That poses some questions for the "real" world (verses my very random, illogical dream world  :)):

Do the undead reproduce?
Can they reproduce with someone living?
Should the undead be restricted to only marrying other undead?

Yeah, sorry for that. Stupid internet connection. I cancelled the cable internet and am again skimming off the neighbor's wireless signal. I need to figure out something that works that's cheap, dangit. Dialup isn't an option because I don't have a home phone.

That's a worry. I should put this on happy things: We don't have a DL limit but we do have a speed cap. For some unknown reason, it glitched and reset itself halfway throught the month. Two more weeks of unlimited! :D
