I love those books!!! Though, technically, it isn't a triloge, it's a series. Novik is already working on a 4th book involving a dragon plague brought over from Canada by a new breed of dragon.  I'm sooo happy someone else actually READS her books. I can't find anyone to discuss them with! ;D    GO TEMERAIRE!

You mention Richard Sharpe but not the Aubrey/Maturin books (Master and Commander, etc.)? How about Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrel?

Anyway I will have to check these books out.

That's because I've read the Bernard Cornwell books, but not the others. I do plan on checking out the Master and Commander books, too, sometime. Hopefully.

I'm surprised you can't find anyone to discuss these with, Bumpken--they're all over the place.

I've read the first and loved it, but the library here doesn't even carry the series so I'm stuck without the second and third for a while. Does anyone local have them that I could borrow them from?

I've requested that the Orem library get all three that are out so far, and since the guy in charge of acquiring fiction is a friend of mine, I'm fairly sure we'll get them.  Eventually.  The only problem is they're only published paperback in the states, which for a library is less than optimal, but what can you do?

If you like listening to books on tape, you must check out the Recorded Books Inc. versions narrated by Patrick Horgan. The accents are wonderful.

Fell, you can borrow my copy of Throne of Jade. I'm in Orem. Email me if you want to borrow mine. I'm still reading #3, so you can borrow that, too, when I'm done.

Nessa, do you read in your sleep or something!!! Howintheheck do you read *so* many books with all those demon spawn to take care of???

1. I read fast.

2. If I don't frequently escape into the fantasy-land of a good book, the demon spawn will turn me into a mindless minion. And they've been trying particularly hard lately.

3. I was recently on vacation. Without the demon spawn. I got a lot of reading done on the airplane, and only now are the reviews being posted.

Actually Fell, I just can't find ANYONE in my general area who's more interested in Fantasy than the Almighty Football, Beer, and Finding A Job that my classmates are so interested in.   ::)Sometimes Highschool is a total drag*sigh*

Awesome. I'm almost done with the second, so I'll try to make the switch soon.
