So Labor Day is coming upon us rapidly.
Yes, some of the TWG Utahers are going to be a Cascadia Con, but what about the rest of us?
I've been talking to Fell, Sprig, and EP about doing something on Labor Day. Nothing is official right now, but I figured I should ask who is interested and what they would like to do?
Last I heard, there was talk of a robot rumble. Also, I thinking we could try out one or two of our mini-adventures.

I fully endorse a robot rumble. I'm also thinking that a Heroclix blowout (similar to our previous one but with more scenario hooks) could be a lot of fun.

I yearn for the days when I'll be TWG Utah again.

I can join for a couple of hours, and would really like to try RoboRally with a bunch of people.

RoboRally is way fun. We've got both the new and the old versions.

We're looking at the Cottentree though we never decided on a time due to Mustard.

I checked on the Cottontree's availability for Labor Day-- it's not available.

That sucks, wonder if we could use the meeting room.

If we want to use the Cottentree then it'll have to be after 11am, but we can use it all day if we like.

because of your I can only come in the mornings and so me and Fell have had a hard time deciding on a place and time since if we use the cottentree it'll be too late for you and most of us don't want to get up at 8-9am for this.

Really? I was assuming we'd do it around 9. I just haven't made any decisions.

you're assumeing too much there, I know both me and 42 aren't that enthusiatic about 9am. 10s ok though I'd perfer noon.
If you do it at nine I might show up but we'd have to be at your house or convince Tage to let us use his place. My place is no good due to the flooding.

Tage has offered not only his home but his grill. Be there at 11, we'll play a round or two of Robo Rally and then get into some Heroclix. (We played Robo Rally last night with 7 people, and it worked great--very chaotic, but very fun.)

So what should people bring?
I think EP and others in my gaming group were thinking about coming.

I'll plan on brining a box of hamburgers for everyone. If someone could pick up buns and dressings that'd be great. If people want me to bring something else based on anything resembling organized assignments, let me know.
I'll also bring a couple Magic decks in case anyone wants to play when they're not doing other things (after they're eliminated from a Heroclix tournament, for example) as well as some DVDs. Quite possibly some other things as well...I'll see.

It looks like my apartment will be running late, probably 11:30-12:30 for various people.

For those who didn't attend, the Labor Day TWG Utah shindig was a lot of fun. And Robo Rally with 7 players on a small death-filled board is awesome.

I'm sure anything would have been more fun than picking peaches until 7pm.

Hey, I'm coming down to Richfield Utah for the weekend tonight.
Any of the TWers in that part of the state?

I have a vague ide where Richfeild is, but I'm pretty sure I'm not close to it. Most of us are in the Provo-Orem area, if that helps.

Well, I went up to Provo on a whim yesterday at the end. I did see an old roommate of mine, though no TWers that I'm aware of.

Okay, so I'll be in Salt Lake for Conference weekend--Friday morning (a week from this Friday) through Monday morning. I've got Friday lunch booked already, as is Saturday night. I'll be up in Salt Lake for pretty much all the sessions of Conference. So, that leaves Friday night or Sunday night--or, if you all insist, Saturday between sessions, but that becomes more complicated--to hang out with you lot. ;)
I'm thinking that since we enjoyed learning Magic from EUOL when he was up here, and I've since heard that Fell has prepared a Very Special Deck, a game of Magic would be in order. I can bring some cards as well, either for a draft or just for something fun to do.
So, who wants Friday and who wants Sunday? Where shall it be and what shall we do?

It would be fun to play Magic when I am not so tired after a day of Con-attending that I can barely think straight. I vote Sunday, because I have a mission reunion on Friday.
Yes, I still go to those. It's only been two years, and all the sisters from my mission are good friends--who I've been out of touch with lately. Besides, my mission pres works high up in CES and I need to talk to him about possibly working with Church Publications after I graduate. I'm not positive that's what I want to do, but I need to keep my options open.

Sunday will be all-but impossible for me, thanks to family obligations on Conference Weekend.

As long as Anela can still come. I'd hate for Tage to be lonely :)
