Title: Sign the petition to outlaw OPEC
Post by: goga12 on July 02, 2006, 09:46:16 PM
America defended Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The result? $70+ oil.
The U.S. law prohibits price-fixing. OPEC manipulated the oil price, driving it to 50 times above the cost oil extraction cost. Oil is more profitable than heroin.
The OPEC members use oil proceeds to fund religious fundamentalists who incite against America.
We prosecute foreign drug cartels which violate the U.S. law without entering the country. We can similarly do away with the OPEC
Stop the oil racket! Sign the petition to outlaw OPEC at www.petitiononline.com/opec (http://www.petitiononline.com/opec)

/me giggles
because people think that a bunch of Internet nerds who can't be bothered to get out of their mother's basement except to make a sev-run for more Hostess Ding-Dongs typing their name into a form will change the mind of the countries in OPEC.

That's hilarious.

I'll only do it if Bill Gates promises to send everyone who signs it $350, and I know I am helping the lawyer of an Iraqi generals widow get her share of the money she rightfully owns by providing them my bank account number to get through the loopholes of the law.

lol. Obviously, someone doesn't understand law (both international and domestic) to know that OPEC cannot be outlawed by simply signing a petition. OPEC is not a democratic institution nor is it a drug cartel that is illegal under both US law and law of the host country. Prosecuting drug cartels is a whole different thing to do then prosecuting the OPEC countries.

Want vto eliminate OPEC from US day-to-day concern?

Fine
Build Nuclear reactors, Hydroelectric or Wind Generators to provide all electrical power to all states in the country. Shift the Oil-burden to automobiles ONLY.
Then
Build a coupledozen new Crude refineries and Drill freakin ANWAR

Boom, Foreign Oil reliance is eliminated and we can safely ignore OPEC as we work toward justice freedom and sanity in that region.
