I changed "instant" to "instance".  I'm assuming that's what you meant, E.

"Supergirl?, really?" - dropped the comma, too, and capitalized "really".  I'm not sure if this was necessary.  Correct me if you feel it wasn't.

Interesting article, and I dare say it applies to more fields than just comics.

whenever I make a grammar mistake assume it's because I committed to having an article by a certain point and in the last few hours I still hadn't done it yet so I rushed through.

Well, while I am generally confident of my skills as a proofreader, I always wonder if there are rules I'm unaware of.

I'm taking my stupid "Writing in the Social Sciences" course online right now, though, and the midterm and final are both on grammar et al., so that should help some.

fair 'nuff. Then the approach should be what you're already doing. Make the change, and let me/fell/someone know if you have doubts about a change.
