So what, as the members of TWG, do want to see on money?

I think it should be Fellfrosh making one of his famous disturbingly goofy faces.

OR, we could get one of those siloutted pictures of us awesome TWGer's. With guns and swords and such in our hands. All standing atop a hill. And that is what should be on the back of a 30, 40, or 70 dollar bill.

I just read the requirements for eligibility. They aren't really accepting anyone. They are accepting anyone who is enrolled in a visual arts program or is an established fine artist for at least five years.

The National Endowment for the Arts is sponsering this, which means that the judges must be certified snobs. Too bad my snob certificate got lost in the mail. :'(

Oh, I think we can nominate you an honorary snob.  Fell will write you up something official.

I would like to see a picture of Fell and his socked foot on a bill or coin. If fuzzy still has that picture, maybe she would be willing to post it here so we can all marvel.

I think it got lost in the summer of 2002 when my roommate stepped on my old laptop.

Hey, at least you didn't run it over with your car.

Though running over your own laptop is a MUCH more funny example foolishness

The funny thing is that he still uses that laptop.  He has it hooked up to a monitor, since the screen was shattered, and the disk drives don't work (he bought an external Zip drive.)  But, he still uses it.

Oh, my dad's still using my old one.  In much the same way.

Waste not, want not, I guess.

Which reminds me, EUOL, did Fell ever give you your laptop back?

I have the picture of Dan's sock on my computer. :)

I've also got the one where EUOL is wearing his blue suede jacket. :)  hehehe

nope, not kidding. S'truth!   ;D

Also, I don't know how to put pictures up.  If you want to see them, you need to tell me how...

If you have scans of them, email them to Tage. He'll post them for you.

Man, those were the days.  Back during my 'I'm taking two years off to become an author' period.

I'm so boring and clean-cut now.
Title: \Re: The US Mint wants you

You were just not clean-cut back then, EUOL.

And more unwanted advice: pleated slacks are out now.

You've lost some weight too, EUOL.

Drat. I was hoping for the picture where Dan is smiling and pointing to his sock. I think that would make a great $75 bill
Title: Re: The US Mint wants you
Post by: 42 on December 17, 2003, 08:40:31 PM
You know, the EUOL's weight comment gave me an idea. There should be a coin with Oprey Winfrey on it. There could be thin Oprey on one side and fat Oprey on the other. They could do the same with old and young Elvis, or Black and White Micheal Jackson.

Post by: Brenna on December 17, 2003, 08:42:23 PM
Well, MoD, you didn't specify *which* Dan's sock picture...it's not my fault that there are more out there... ;)

You're right.

So . . .

Do you have the picture of which I spoke?
Title: Re: The US Mint wants you
Post by: Fellfrosch on December 17, 2003, 08:51:17 PM
What can I say? I've got great socks. And, it would seem, brilliantly illuminated ones.

What are you expecting from a $20 digital camera?

A $20 digital camera?  Did you get it out of a really expensive box of cereal or something?
Title: Re: The US Mint wants you
Post by: fuzzyoctopus on December 17, 2003, 11:05:42 PM
It was a JamCam, the pictures were taken 3 years ago, and I got it from an admirer who was hoping I'd take pictures of myself for him.

I'm going to have to put a stop to this conversation now.
Title: Re: The US Mint wants you

Why? Because we're not talking about you right now?
Title: Re: The US Mint wants you

no, cuz fuzzy's story frightens me beyond reason.

Muhahahaha

Frightening SE - that ought to garner me some kind of award.

Not really, I'm pretty skittish.

So you don't look like that now, EUOL? Funny, that's the way I picture you in my head when you post. I suppose we've all changed a bit. I have new glasses now, last time I saw Jeff (which was 2 years ago) he had longer hair than in the sock picture, Eric seems to have lost his shirt (cf that scary picture from a few weeks ago)...

nah, I just have another shirt on underneath. used to do that all the time.

I suppose we could all be scary and post pictures of ourselves.  And then, um... stalk each other or something.

Yes, even if you seem to be making a strange face at the camera.

I think it's the leather bound volumes behind him.

Nah, Fell's way more photogenic.

I've got to agree with MoD.  I have yet to see a picture of Fell that doesn't make me chuckle.

A vita is a resume for academic-type people.  It lists their publications, their conference addresses, any awards they've won, whether for research or teaching, etc.
