Title: You punks.
Post by: Oldie Black Witch on November 16, 2005, 11:02:49 PM
How dare you! It's the rudest thing that's ever been perpetrated from this website!

To only have that once and then never mention it again? Where is your sense of honor? Of chivalry? Of competetion?

The fun of it all. The cutesy animals. The not-so-cutesy creatures. Fish's rats and Fell's squirrels.

Yup. You know what I mean, you sadists. It's horrific. It's torture.

Once wasn't enough. I need to learn more.

Can we play Magic again? Please?

Actually, I'm kind of hoping for a regular thing. Maybe every other week or so.

Then there's the question of when and where. Is anyone else interested?

I'm up for Stacer's place, if she pays for transportation.

And for food.

No can do on the transportation, but I'd totally host a dinner if you guys came to visit me. But, carry on, carry on. You were speaking of Magic?  ;)

National Games Week starts this Saturday, so I could see kicking it off with a Magic party. And I've got some cards I want to give Oldie Locks, for the purely selfish reason of making her write a review. It's the 9th edition Starter set that allegedly teaches you how to play, and I'm very curious to see how it goes with someone who, despite having played one incredibly long game, is still a newbie.

I played just Yesterday with Cyan10101 and Harbinger. Cyan has a number of cards.

I might be able to offer my place, but it depends on when and wether or not you will let my ferret steal valuables (I've been trying to teach her to be more selective).

We played Magic the weekend I popped down to Utah last month. Oldielocks joined in on the fun and learned to play, and wants to play again.

i would be up to play again.  I have a bunch of decks, 4 ravnica cards only decks along with other older decks.  I would like to play again against some new people.  Just give me a time and a date.

New cards? I still need to really learn how to use the ones I just got! But hey, I'll take new cards in exchange for a review.

How is everyone next Saturday (during the Thanksgiving weekend)?

A lot of people might be gone, but I'd be up for it.

The cards I want to give you are allegedly easier, and come with a cheesy comic book that's supposed to teach you how to play. It might be too simple even for someone who's only played once, but we'll see.

I'll be working the Friday and Saturday night audits, but other than that, I should be available on Saturday after T-Day.

Actually, Saturday after four will work for me.  I have the early early early morning shift at work.

Is this really happening?  When and where?

I would like it to really happen, and I'll even volunteer my house, but I can not at this point guarantee my house or myself any time before 8.

I'd prefer to start a little sooner, but I'll take Fell's after 8.

If you let EUOL know when and where he'll probably show up for some magic, just letting you all know since he usually doesn't read these threads.

Yay! We have a plan:

8pm
Saturday
Fell's house
In the conservatory
With the candlestick
And Professor Plum

By the way: I love your signature, Fish.

The last time I let Professor Plum into the conservatory...well, let's just say that's an experience I hope not to repeat.

Holy crap, I forgot you guys were coming.

So here's the deal: I have a cold, and I've had it for about three days (made Thanksgiving lots of fun, let me tell you). I certainly don't mind if you come, but you might; also, I can't vouch for my contagiousness. I don't know anyone's phone number (at least, no one in town), so at this hour you might not even get this message. If you come, huzzah; if you don't, huzzah.

If you stop letting Batman nibble on your toast you probably wouldn't have caught his cold.

So how did it go last night? Last I heard you were all headed for Brandon's place--I didn't even think he was in town, or I would have called him instead of posting here and hoping you read it.
Title: Re: You punks.
Post by: cyan10101 on November 27, 2005, 06:15:10 PM
yeah, how did it go?  i was kinda bored this weekend just being here in the house and going shopping with the family.  It was also much colder than i wanted at this holiday.

Post by: MsFish on November 27, 2005, 09:12:36 PM
Yeah Dan, we totally missed you.  Hope you're feeling better.

Went great.  Old One attacked me, so I totally slaughtered her--taking her from 20 to zero in one turn, and I figured out how to do it without Brandon's help.

Nothing like slamming the newbie, especially since she forgot about the card in her hand that would have only halved the damage. Oops.
Title: Re: You punks.
Post by: MsFish on November 28, 2005, 03:38:38 AM
You attacked first, even though I clearly had a whole row of flying creatures that could flatten you.  So it's clearly not my fault that I smeared you.
