Title: Metroid: Zero Mission
Post by: Mr_Pleasington on February 06, 2004, 04:42:50 PM
As a fan of all things Metroid, I can't wait for this game!

It's not supposed to be released until the 9th, but Tycho mentioned picking up a copy in today's news post at PA.  He specifically mentions getting it at a store, so its not a review copy.

Anyone seen this in stores yet?  If it released early I'll be devoting a chunk of my weekend to it.

Tycho and gabe live near Nintendo USA corperate headquarters, they have a store there, that's where they bought it.  Nintendo must release the game a few days early there.

Because that would be good, and good things aren;t allowed to happen in real life.  That's what we would liket o call either fair, or more likely, unfail in your favor, which almost never happens unless it's for the other guy.

Yes!

I picked up this bad boy after clinic and have played about an hour of it.  Man, does it bring back memories.  The new stuff is pretty cool so far... like:

SPOILER

The fact you can go to the surface and explore the Chozo ruins just like in Super Metroid.  And the fact that the little cutscenes are pretty cool.

END SPOILER

Yeah, I'm hooked.  Plus, once yo ubeat the game you have access to the original Metroid.

Best Gamecube Gameboy Player investment yet!

Wow...that was short.

I finished the game in just over four hours.  There's a brand new ending sequence and it is really cool...and the toughest part of the game.

There's all these secrets that I have no way of getting to for various reasons though.

It did unlock the original Metroid though :)
