That's awesome! Congrats! Is that plot synopsis going to the be one used on the dust cover?
-
Yay! That's so cool. You know, there'll be a huge Boston purchasing surge when it comes out. I've been talking up the book to all my friends here. Cassy says she'll borrow my copy, but we'll see about that. ;)
-
dude, there are so many cool things going for you with a new book. All this stuff has got to be so self affriming. It keeps getitng reinforced that you're living the dream!
-
Wow, who wrote the editorial review for that? Sounds like someone from Tor, but it sure sounds nice either way.
-
Yeah, I'm going to require a signed copy of this book for my collection.
-
When SE finally gets published I expect a signed copy for all the times I
molded his mind talked with him about the subject.
-
Very nice, time to get some amazon links created. EUOL, you need to go make an amazon account so you get paid via any sales linked from your site.
-
Tage thought I should mention this.
I know some of you have read ELANTRIS. I think it's be best not to post any reviews of the book until it's actually available. I think that if it's obvious they were written before the book came out, it would look suspect.
Once it's out, of course, you're free to go wild with the reviews.
-
I've started telling some of my family members to pre-order.
-
Yeah, that's pretty cool. Got me to look through my Goldbox too. Good jorb EUOL. Does the book make any mentions about your interneted alias? =P
-
So I saw this thread and thought, "Now what on earth could happen that EUOL (calm and collected) thinks is extremely cool?"
Then I clicked the link and shrieked.
Way cool, man.
-
Very very cool.
Noted about the don't-review-yet policy.
So who DID write that review? I thought the editorial reviews were by Amazon staff people.
-
Apparently not. One of those quotes is from Simon Green, the other is from the jacket flap, courtesy Moshe and myself.
-
. It's also the wonderful debut of a welcome new star in the constellation of fantasy.
Who wrote that cheesy line?
-
the STARMAKER did.
-
I didn't notice that one. But it puts you right up there with the shimmering, glowing stars in the publishing firmament, EUOL.
-
he shot for the moon, and even if he misses, he'll be among the stars.
-
Did all of you people get injected with happy drugs or something?
-
/me teaches Entropy about sarcasm and mockery.... among the stars!
-
Personally, I'm high on life. And crack.

Obviously, someone hasn't watched Singin' in the Rain. (At least, for my part of it.)
-
I know stacer, it's sad. But I made my husband watch The Sound of Music and was told that's inhumane.
So I guess there's no way to force them to it.
-
I'll say this, on the torture scale, Singin' in the Rain is considerably more humane than The Sound of Music.
-
That line was written by Moshe, actually. So, I guess he's the starmaker....
-
Elantris is now #378,276 on amazon. So close to #1, yet so far away.
-
hey, #378,276 is better than #378,277

I just googled it, and someone has it on their Christmas wish list:
http://www.shadowbot.com/
(Scroll down a bit, under books.) He's only got three books on the list, and one of them's the Bible.
Does anyone here know the guy who does that page? If not, the word is getting out.
-
don't recognize him, but skimming the page, he seems cool. Maybe if we link (http://www.shadowbot.com/) to (http://www.shadowbot.com/) his (http://www.shadowbot.com/) page (http://www.shadowbot.com/) a (http://www.shadowbot.com/) lot (http://www.shadowbot.com/), he'll come hang with us.
-
Probaly someone who went to Worldcon.
-
Probably someone who read Orson Scott Card's review.
-
Wow, that is awesome to the extreme!
Bet that sparked some holiday cheer.
