Can't you buy it really cheaply by-the-foot at home improvement stores?  You might have to attach the ends yourself, but it's not that hard.

MoD--thanks, will do that when I get some time. Have been really busy at work lately, really tired (coming down with a cold, it's been exhausting). So haven't had it at the top of my list the last couple days.

Spirg and Tage have both told me it's not too difficult.

That's nice, but doesn't help any of us a whole lot.

I'm sure stacer could find someone who can do it for her.  Lots of technical people are hiding all over the place.

However, stacer wants an extension cord for her headphones, not an ethernet cable.

just as easy. Soldering is helpful, but not required.

I'm confused. I thought the extensions were just something you plugged your headphones into. If it's any more mechanical than that, I have the ability but not the desire to do it. Maybe I'll just go buy a new set of headphones with a longer cord.

Don't be confused. EUOL is just talking about saving money by buying hte cord and attaching the ends. With the bother involved, it doesn't save a lot once you take into account the labor.  You can get cables that extend the reach without requiring more than "plug in" work.

Right, same thing with phone jacks (sometimes). I needed one in my room so I could connect to the net, so I took one apart from downstairs, brought it upstairs, connect the certain colored wires to the other colored ones, and bada-ding, I've got a phone jack. Wires aren't all that hard, and soldering is fun, as long as you don't burn yourself.

Actually, I was just harping on a personal little annoyance of mine--the expense of cords.  When we moved into the new house, I was faced with spending some thirty bucks to get an ethernet cord long enough to reach my room.  Then I realized you could buy them for like $.25 a foot at home depot.  Now, whenever someone mentions how expensive they are, I point out this little fact.  It could potentially save someone a lot of money.

Anyway, saw "Big Fish," and generally agree.  This was a great movie.

Let's do our little funky dance, too, and show them how cool we are.

We'll get out our guitars, and tell them how we're gonna be stars.

We'll set our hair on fire... uh...
