Title: Guilty Pleasures
Post by: House of Mustard on April 30, 2003, 12:47:18 PM
So, despite the fact that I have a plethora of very fun games right here (Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, Battlefield 1942, etc...) I still find myself playing Railroad Tycoon 2 more than any of them.

I hear you.  I'm playing through Mechwarrior 3 again.  So good....

I just finished playing the first half of Fallout Tactics, on hard, with only one guy (a fair guy, no training involved). When you're a tactical RPG junkie, there's only so many ways to get your fix.

I recently picked up Final Fantasy Tactics again. Man, that is a FUN game. How come no one's making good tactical RPGs anymore?

Because you won't do what I tell you and become a game programmer, Tage. Just wait til I'm a published author and get to license my work...the Blacker Darkness tactical RPG will take the gaming world by storm.

Well, as much as I enjoyed Mechwarrior 3 and 4 I might just have to bid them farewell for a bit since I just picked up Morrowind for $20.  If its as immersive and filled with warm, fuzzy goodness as my friends indicate I may not be playing any other games for a long time.

Speaking of Fallout Tactics, playing through it again I realized that the voice of General Dekker (the guy in the third bunker) is Red Foreman from "That 70s Show." That made the game a lot more fun.
