Which part? I'm not going in an official capacity--or at least, not sure if I am. I'm not going to be on any panels, and we don't have a booth (there aren't any at this one, I believe--I think it's like WorldCon was, with the dealers' room instead). Instead, I'm just going to be networking and checking out whether we want to have an editorial/panel presence later.

Just seems like Wizards would attend the US version of Worldcon... even in an off year.

Okay, um... I'm not going. stacer, I would be more than happy to sell you my registration. How do I do that?

I was looking forward to going, but I just don't think it's feasible anymore. The weekend before, I'm going to Otakon in Baltimore for work, and immediately before that Karen and I are headed out to Ohio to help her grandparents move in and also to clean out as much of her stuff as we can (and maybe head down to Fairborn and get some of my stuff, too). So...

Anyway, I am already preregistered for Worldcon 2006 in LA (Anaheim). I'm definitely looking forward to seeing as many people as can get down here for that, and maybe we can have some sort of presence as well, who knows?
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

I'm not sure how that works, but I think the website would have info on transferring registrations.

Well, when I finally told my parents about the con and how my friend Janci (MsFish) was going to lend me the money, it must have struck a guilt cord because they told me tonight that they want to buy the ticket for me. (I think it goes back to my mom always arguing with her friends over who's going to pay for a shared lunch--she never wants anyone else to do it.) Anyway, I'm very appreciative.

So you know what this means MsFish--that +100 dollars can go to good use. And I order you to spoil yourself with it! Like spending it on books, jewelry, movies, CDs, outfits, etc. Do I hear a shopping spree coming on? Oo, or you can save it for Seattle! Fun, fun! Just bring me along!  ;D

I'm fairly sure this was all some evil plot Chimera and it worked just as you planned.

I'm not sure whether to be flattered or offended...  ;)

But I think that is giving me too much credit. I would fail miserably as a villian--I rarely come up with evil plots.

Except evil plots to make EUOL jealous, which he knows are never sincere, so it never works.  :P

For Ookla: Membership Transfers

http://www.cascadiacon.org/Registration.htm

Quote
Cascadia Con will not refund membership fees. However, members are free to sell or transfer their memberships to others so long as Cascadia Con is properly notified and the following rules are adhered to.

As of the date of transfer, the purchaser will receive all of the rights and privileges of membership from that date onwards. Any rights and privileges already exercised by the transferor will not be exercisable by the purchaser. For example, if the transferor voted in the site selection balloting then the purchaser may not vote in the site selection balloting.

No voting rights may be detached from a membership. When a membership is transferred, all future rights and privileges are transferred with it. For further clarification, if a person transferring a membership wishes to vote in site selection, they must do so before they transfer the membership.

Memberships which entitle a person to attend the convention (attending, child, day) may not be transferred after the member has registered in person at the convention.

In order to transfer a membership, Cascadia Con must receive from the transferor a verifiable email (prior to Aug. 15, 2005) or a signed request. The document must be from the membership owner and must list both the owner and purchasers name and address and the membership number of the original purchaser if possible. The purchaser should retain and bring to registration a copy of the membership. We reserve the right to refuse a suspicious transfer document.

It is up to the purchaser to satisfy themselves as to whether or not voting rights on a membership have been exercised. Cascadia Con will assist in verifying such information if a request is received from a potential transferor to provide that information to a prospective purchaser, provided there is no cost to Cascadia Con to do so.

Tage will go if you sacrifice ugly cosplay girls to him, that way when he goes only the hot ones are left.

Hey, I don't make the posters, I just alter them.

But yeah, I noticed that. This is a later image made to promote a release of the movie on Video, making it sound/look much more saucy than it really was.
