It's a good show.
I wanted to register for a message board online but "the administrator has banned the use of free email addresses (hotmail, yahoo, etc.). Please use your work, school, or website email and rest assured that your information will be kept private."

Newsflash! Not everyone HAS a job where they get email!!  Or is in school for the rest of their lives.  GRRR.  Now I have to get my husband to set me up a useless alias I won't use??  (And I dont' get a school email address until after the quarter begins).

Honestly, it just isn't standing out to me.

Your review kind of put the book on the "if I have time, although I never have time" list.

I've never heard of it, and after reading your review I have no desire to do so. Does not sound like my kind of book.

Hmmm, I don't recall putting those there.  I think they snuck in when I wasn't looking.

Oh, yeah I had totally forgotten about that, until Sunday when I was like, "Wait, why is the Primary singing today?  Oh.  Oh that's right. Pioneer songs. It's Tuesday, isn't it?"

Well, I went to Mansfield today to get a copy.  I actually checked Waldenbooks in the mall and they did not have it - the lady behind the desk said it was not out yet according to her computer. (I said, that's funny, since the release party was this weekend!)

I was going to go to B&N anyway since I had $14 in store credi to help defray the cost.  They had two copies there, and they weren't even in the "new science fiction" section!  They were on the shelf beside all the paperback Elantris-es. Well, now they only have one other copy, so I hope someone buys it soon.   :)

Brandon, i'm just going to ship it out to you and include return postage, could you PM  or email me a shipping address for you?

I don't know, Rainbow Brite was an alien sent to colonize a colorless world and it seems like the other way around (i.e. - the princesses are going from a colorless world to one FULL of color)   I'm amused by the image, but can't think of them that way.   :)

You know, I keep forgetting that you are the one who made the remark about the chains, even though I was there....

Good!  I was hoping they would do like Batman and Superman and avoid retelling the original movies.  I will definitely have to go see it.

Oh, I joined an LJ community for long hair, and because of that I've been researching henna and other natural dyes to use as alternative to harsh chemicals.  I'm trying to decide whether I really want red hair at all, (always wanted it, but would probably get sick of it afterwards.)  In looking into henna I've ended up all all sorts of herbalistic pages which really make me want to just have a house with my own garden where I can grow my own fruits and vegetables and my own herbs and medicinal stuff like chamomile.  And never wear shoes, except maybe when I'm riding a bike to the store instead of driving a car, and so on.

I've always had this kinds of repressed childhood fantasy to be Juniper from Monica Furlong's series.

The make "organic, eco friendly" clothes from bamboo now, maybe that will count.

I forgot the other important question, which is "Can I still wear a bra?"

Hey, someone who grew up in California may have to answer this, but can you be a hippie and an intellectual at the same time? Does a college education or two negate any possibility of one secretly being a hippie?

I'm asking for outside opinions because, heck - I live in Ohio, where large sections of the population cannot even properly conjugate "to be" in their sentences.

I'm happy I've got a B&N gift card with some money on it. Now if I can ever get a day off work to go to Mansfield and BUY it... that's a totally different matter.
