Well I talked to U-HAUL yesterday, and for their smallest truck, they wanted 19.99 + 0.89 per mile, which would round out roughly to $55 for the trip I need to take. Given that the two desks together only value up to around $120 together, I'm pondering other options right now.

Do you know anyone with a truck that could move at least one of them? I'd let you use my Cherokee, but as we all know, distance is a problem.

Yeah, that's the sort of thing I'm looking at now. So the desk move date gets pushed back again...

I'll get it done sooner or later. Isn't moving fun?  :D

Just so long as it's not a $50 pizza :/
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

Next time you're craving steak, you should get your dad to take you to the Chicago Chop House. It's the best steak house in Chicago (you know, stock yards and all that). So, we're sitting down for the staff dinner (this was last month at ALA), and there are these pictures on the table of this man with a HUGE--64 oz--Porterhouse steak. This this was almost as big as a side of beef. Okay, not that big, but huge.

Caption read: "Adult portions also available."

Ewwww.

And how much did that steak run? $120.  :o Their regular-sized Porterhouse is pretty good, too, though.

Their regular sized Porterhouse is "only" $30-40. I can't remember. The company paid for mine.  :D
