Working, writing, schoolwork, 17th shard... Yeah, I'm busy.

But the site compels me!

I would like to announce that the mistborn  forum RPG @ mistbornrpg.17thshard.com is awesome, and getting better.

yup. looks like you guys are doing pretty good over there. I knew it was dead for a while there, but was revived recently, right?

I'd love to join, however, i dont really have much time for it :)

Wait, you think I have time for it?

I politely disagree with your analysis, DarkEnigma. Please don't take it personally.

He's 45. I don't remember Kelsier's age, but it certainly wasn't anything less than late 30's, I think.

(Commenting on the earlier post about rober downey jr.) Does anyone in here believe that he will look right with blonde hair? From my understanding, kelsier is blonde.. oh and as for marsh, I was thinking about the guy who played wolverine's brother in xmen origins... he's really evil..

Blonde hair is the sort of detail I wouldn't care is overlooked in order to get Kelsier's personality correct.

You're on the list ;)

EDIT: Anyone else submitting anything?

I might have found an error in Hero of Ages, though it is obviously far too late to correct it. It is in both the hardcover and the paperback.

Page 313 of the paperback:

Quote
For example, all of the original Inquisitors were given a pewter spike, which--after first being pounded through the body of a Feruchemist--gave the Inquisitor the ability to store up healing power. ...This, obviously, is where the Inquisitors got their infamous ability to recover from wounds quickly, and was also why they needed to rest so much.

It's not a typo, but it isn't consistent with the properties of Hemalurgy. Pewter spikes steal "Feruchemical Physical Powers", but health is not a physical Feruchemical power. Gold stores health, and that's a temporal metal, not a physical one.

In fact, it is unknown what metal spike steals Feruchemical Temporal powers. I'm assuming it's gold, but that's not confirmed anywhere.

I should convert, then go on a mission to get an ARC ;) Though, that would be going a long way to get an ARC.

And I'm fairly certain you wouldn't have it before August 31st....But that's just a minor detail.

Well, I meant for the next one ;)

I'm not doing anything fun for the fourth anyways except for two graveyard shifts, so I am very much here.

Oh, you'll probably get SOMETHING next year. Just not an adult fantasy/cosmere book.

Should I get my chalks ready? :)

Ohhhh I certainly hope so.

It's spelled Nicrosil, yes.  I have them memorized.  (Am I crazy for listing off the allomantic metals in a very specific order whenever I go up or down the stairs of my home?  There are 16 steps!  It's too good a setup to pass over!)

You aren't. I have my framed Table of Allomantic Metals right above my computer ;)

My brother and I are antsy for the Elantris sequel (he threw a fit when he finished and I told him as of yet it was a stand alone)

Heh... so did I. I didn't read Mistborn when it first came out because of it (though that was more because of forgetfulness).

3. The main character will burn Necrosil (someone who can cause duralumin effects in others by touching them and burning Necrosil)

Hmmm, methinks it is Nicrosil. Necrosil sounds like Necromancers would use it.

Which, admittedly, would be pretty awesome.

Oh, OK. Cause if you were going on a mission, I might slip you an ARC. But that theory wasn't fitting what you said, so no ARC for you.

I should convert, then go on a mission to get an ARC ;) Though, that would be going a long way to get an ARC.

That is typically what midnight releases are, yes? The very first minute of the launch day. :P
