Name is Brad Higley. I also go to BYU, but unlike the rest of them, I'm not part of TLE.

No, I'm one of the VPs of Quark, TLE's sister organization at BYU. (Actually, the first Quark formed TLE, then died, then TLE members went and reformed Quark. So Quark is its own grandfather or something).

I've read Time-Waster's Guide for three years or so, so I decided to finally get on the boards.

I'm deciding between Electrical Engineering and History for a major, but it looks as if I will be in college for another four years.

I spent the last two years of my life in Bolivia, teaching, so if I make any stupid comments like "hey, when did that come out," forgive me.

(Note: Just so all you TLE people can stop bugging us for submissions, I'll send you one next semester. Just as soon as I finish it.)

Movies and TV / Spider-man 2 DVD
« on: November 29, 2004, 05:17:51 PM »
Well, it comes out tomorrow. I won't be buying it. But that is because I'm broke.

I got a chance to preview the DVD (thanks Mom!) over Thanksgiving weekend. I love Spider-man, and love what they did with the movie, and I think the DVD is worth being purchased.

I went through the DVD features, and they had a lot of same kind of special features what they had last time. Now I enjoyed the first DVD, and what they put on there, and so I enjoyed this one. I didn't see the summaries of important episodes in the comics in this one, but more a deveopment of Spider-mans character.

I'd definately buy this DVD. The features are more than decent, and the fight between Doc Ock and Spidey on the clock tower is so freaking cool.

I enjoyed it.

I thought the clues, other than the first one, were rather tame. Of course, I'm a student of American History, so I guess I'm a little more prejudiced on that matter than most.

I was just stunned by the size of their find, however. If something a tenth of the size of that treasure was found, archeologists and historians would call it the greatest find in the history of, well, history.

Heck, I'd just take the scrolls from the library of Alexandria.  :o

The real surprise to me is how much my mother liked it. She liked it enough to immediately declare it a buyer. This is significant, since my mother works for a video store, and we get free rentals.
