So last night, I'm riding in the car with a friend of mine down a curvy road at 50 mph. The car in front of us (with two sixteen year old girls inside) decides it has to turn, slows down to stop, and puts its turn signal on when we're two seconds behind it. Needless to say, we kinda rear-ended them at 25 mph. Then, these future brain surgeons leave the scene. On top of all this, I got hit in the face with an airbag. Guess who has a headache this morning?
People should really learn to use their signals properly. It wasn't entirely the girls' fault, but you don't just immediately stop from 50 mph without giving the people behind you some kind of warning.
On a better note, everyone who was involved in it was ok. I guess that's the important thing. I should probably be thanking whatever divine power might be out there.

Good to here there were no injuries, but it's acutaly your friends fault from your explination (legaly that is, those girls could sue you). You learn never to trust the person in front of you when driveing. Oh and in Utah we have a little saying:
"Turn signals? We don't need no freaking turn signals!"
ie, no one ever uses them here.

Were they joyriders? The driving age limit is 17 here...

16 is the age in the US, however fleeing the scene gives one of three possibilities:
They didn't realize it wouldn't be their fault
OR they didn't have their lisence yet even though she was old enough.
OR they had been drinking and didn't want to get caught up.
Or maybe they just didn't want mommy and daddy to know.

yam but sadly it dosen't matter to the insurance agents, Onion's friend's insurance will still go up.
-
And yet he'll still pay less than I* do. :(
* That is, when I get my car and my parents stop being nice about it.
-
What sad is even if it was those girls fault (ie the police were involved and said so) you and your friend would still pay more then them.

Onion, I told you that you, Gorgon, and I should have done something last night. You refuse and look what happens. I hope this has taught you a lesson. By the way, Im glad you are ok.
