amusing typos
« on: January 16, 2004, 03:04:28 PM »
I don't know about you guys, but when i get tired, my typing goes to heck.  I thought it would be fun to have a thread to post our own or other peoples, (but mostly our own) typos.

Like the time I tried to go to eee.wbay.com

or just now, while I'm trying to do my homework quickly so I can grab a snack before my next class, and I typed foodnotes instead of footnotes.

A friend of mine, when his aussie cousin came over, went to the pub with him. He got drunkish, and the cousin smoked a spliff of all things. Anyway, he came back and came online (as you do) and then typed appaulingly badly. He managed to morph "Charlie" into "ccgrewil" or something like that. And it took him 4 attempts to type a 4 letter swearword. :)
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

apparently, his spelling of 'appalling' was also appalling. (or perhaps his spelling had soemthing to do with Paul).

On my boss's boss's business cards:

Cheif Operating Officer

I don't know how to spell chief.  ::)

I had tried to convince him to abreviate it, especially since he's also the CFO, and the EVP, but no luck.

My work just gave everyone mugs which read:

BWAHAHAHAH!
I have a T-shirt from Residental College. Everyone signed it. Then it was washed with a new red shirt. I now have a pink Residental College shirt. It makes me sad.
