Lost phone/Dead computer
« on: January 02, 2006, 08:42:21 PM »
Argh. Cat just erased the thing I typed. Suffice it to say that the laptop that was on its last legs is now completely dead. Or half-dead at least--I'm typing on half a screen, the other half of which somehow got crushed in my trip home.

Also, I've lost my phone somewhere in my house. Set it down after calling someone and now I can't find it. I hope I didn't accidentally put it in the wash I just put in. Can someone who has my cell phone number call me right away? I don't want to post it here, and I can't find anyone local who's home--no long distance on my home phone to call myself.

Computer still dead.

Sorry your computer's finally gone caput. :(
How was your trip back?

Trip back: long.

Computer: Completely gone. Can no longer see even that 1/3 of the screen. Oh well. I think I'm going to have to break down and get a desktop. No way I'll be able to afford a laptop replacement right now.

Yeah, long drives are definitely looming in my future, too. Man, I wish I had cruise control!! Rats. Oh, well, at least I'll have my bro, Eric, along so we can take turns at the wheel.
So . . . what kind of desktop PC are you thinking on getting? I wonder if any places would still have special deals since it's so early in the year?

Woo hoo. I too am without computer(s). Both my laptop and desktop are in peril, one of which I could fix but have yet to do so with. Either way it sucks, and in a way it's nice. Now all I do is listen to NPR and read. Yeah... I saids it!

Especially since WBFO in Buffalo plays 13 hours of Jazz and Blues alongside their NPR. Freaking rock out-skiddley-be-bop do-wop do-wop be-be-be-bo-dooo!
