Brandon, have you, by chance, read The Shy Stegosaurus of Cricket Creek? 

I was amused by the misspelled pterodactyl.

Ah!  You're welcome!  There's also one called The Shy Stegosaurus of Indian Springs, but I'm not entirely sure which one comes first.

According to Amazon, Indian Springs is the sequel.
