Title: Chimera
Post by: Faster Master St. Pastor on November 22, 2005, 02:32:38 AM
With the picture. Leave the bottom the way it is or do something else?

You're talking about the squirrel picture, right?

Just cut off the bottom. I was trying to isolate the top part with the squirrels and put my own dialogue in those two boxes--to go along with a joke we have here about Fellfrosch and his magic deck where squirrels multiply and attack you. Unfortunately, I did not have the skill to do this. So, since many on this site are savvy with PhotoShop and such, I figured I'd defer to the experts.

I love that I keep getting threads devoted solely to me. First from shrain, now from you. If I'm not careful, I'm going to start getting a big head.  :D

Thank you, I'm 'done'. One last thing, do you have any font that you want me to use?

Since I don't know how to post it I need you to tell me.

Uh...I don't know.  :-[ I've never done it before.

Fiddle around with the YABBC tags. There is one called "insert image."

To make my avatar work, I had to get an account at Photobucket and upload the image there and provide a http link in the profile. But there must be a way to just insert the image--everyone else has. It may need to be uploaded somewhere, though. I don't know.

If you can't figure it out, ask again, and I'm sure someone with more knowledge will enlighten you at some point.

ARGH!

I can't do it and I have to get off, I will try tomorrow. Or rather today after I wake up.

You need webhosting. Try signing up for photobucket  (http://photobucket.com/register.php). Hint: put your date of birth at 1986. It might refuse you an account if you enter your real age. The instructions should be fairly simple to upload your image, then get the direct url (i right click on the image and select 'Properties' to do that). Put that url in the middle of (http://) tags. It's the button 4th from the left, on hte second row of buttons above the text box.

Hope that helps.

Chimera? here's the picture with the changes, though One eyed green person's will probably be better since all I used was paint.

is that how it was supposed to be?

ok, I didn't like few things about that first one (actually, only one thing) so here's the new Suped up! version (sorry, I don't know how to spell that)

I didn't like how the word squirrel was slanted
(yes, I'm a total perfectionist about things like that)

actually, I think it was better that first way, now all the letters in the first bubble seem way too slanted

Ak! Hiss! Hiss!

Wow, that's pretty good, but is it just me or is your blurrier for some reason?

actually, why didn't chimera just crop out the bottom and get rid of the text in the bubbles in paint. And then print it out and add the writing?

She said that paint wasn't working for her. It is blurrier because I scaled it up to about 130%, I can fix that easily.

I'd enlarge the picture first then add the text, or make the text a Vector.  Either of those would solve the blurry text problems.

Print it out and add the writing? Wouldn't I then have to scan it in? Much too complicated--especially since I don't have a scanner.

I figured someone with computer savvy could fix it pretty easily. And you guys did! They all look great.

The squirrel attack picture makes me happy.  ;D
