I'm pretty sure that Sadeas has also listened to part or all of it.
"Magic is what makes fantasy fantastic," someone says, "you can't apply rules to them or else it loses wonder!" I respond, "Sure, but if you want to write them you will certainly want to know how they work." Writing is all about execution, and I find applying some basic laws of physics to magic systems make them more understandable and realistic. Here, I'm going to outline my basic method for developing a magic system.

It's killing me, but I'm taking this one really slow, since I don't know when the next Brandon Sanderson book will be out. I'm trying to savor the characters and world development a little at a time. It's like eating an amazing sundae...it's so good you want to eat it all at once, but you know that if you do, it will be gone all too soon (and if you eat it too fast, you might get a brain freeze!)
If I purchased more then 2 books a month, I'd be right there with ya in line @ B&N. But I don't.A CHALLENGER APPEARS!
Also i'm pretty sure this discussion is on topic according to the Rhuan's last post. Where we are going to buy it.
That warrants a BORDERS vs B&N shooooowdooooooown.. :lights dim, rock music comes on: IN THE BLUUUUE CORNER! :cough cough: Sorry about that...
