Ok, I know it wasn't the best piece. But I want to get most of everyones opinion on my first review for the site. Etc, etc, etc.

Longer sentences. Your review read like you were out of breath.

At least, i assume this is about the Hyena review? In which case we are looking at the films board...
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

I think you need to give a little better frame of referance for the review.  Your job, as a reviewer, is to help people decide if they want to see the movie or not.  In this case, my suggestion would be to spend a little less time on the plot of the movie, and a little more giving your opinions for the rest of us.

How does this compare to other Jackie Chan movies?  If you've never seen one before, what can you expect?  Is this a movie everyone will like, or one for a select audience?  How is the filming, the plotting, and the characterization?

Personally, in a review of a Jackie Chan import, I want to know one thing:  Is it more like Project A (which was baffling) or is it like Operation Condor (which I love.)

Well, I'm gonna go with something like 'The Tuxedo' without the sucking.

Yeah, but that doesn't help me very much, because I liked Tuxedo. Mostly, I think, because of the James Bond elements and I'm a James Bond fan. Maybe fan is too strong a word, but I do enjoy watching them.

Anyway, that really has nothing to do with anything. I would prefer to see less about the movie in a review. I read a review to find out the movie's basic premise, and whether or not it's worth seeing. Your review seemed to lean more toward the synopsis side.

If you can do some research about the movie's director, actors, etc. and extrapolate on how they added to or took away from the movie overall, that would also be useful (re: Phone Booth review)
