I think my twin took the HoM approach, though without the eloping. He got engaged after dating this girl for 2 weeks then got married 2 months later. They've been married for 4 years and both families are still in shock.

Now two of my older brothers took the Fuzzy approach. One waited for a year and half while his future wife served a mission. The other had most of his courtship through email and then had to wait for job contracts and other stuff to expire before they could get married.
The Folly of youth is to think that intelligence is a subsitute for experience. The folly of age is to think that experience is a subsitute for intelligence.

Yeah, that sucks a lot.  Why did she keep changing her mind?

Nervousness and being unsure. And worries about my economic health. I had a run of bad jobs and some unemployment that had run up my credit card (which I was using to buy groceries) and she was nervous about that. But hey, 6.5 years later we're together and still worried about debt!
